Silk Road Restaurant — Restaurant in Mississauga

My family & I were so looking forward to visiting this place after they moved to their new location. However, we were severely disappointed by our experience.

Opening hours state they close at 10pm.

We were literally kicked out of the restaurant at 8:45pm, since they sold out of all their food. Have you ever heard of a restaurant closing at this time on a Saturday? Absolutely ridiculous. If you close early, please POST A NOTICE ON THE DOOR BEFORE PROCEEDING TO KICK YOUR GUESTS OUT.

If you don't know how to supply your restaurant with the right amount of supplies, I feel sorry for your ignorance.

The owner and the waitresses were extremely rude and short, as they obviously do not care about doing business anymore, and have no proper standards of being courteous.

I have ate at their old location before, and trust me, their food is NOT WORTH THE HASSLE. There are other places that offer better food and WAY BETTER SERVICE.

Had Lamb Pillow with Rice, Lamb noodle soup, Lamb kabobs and Cucumber salad. I must say I had high hopes when I first entered into this restaurant. The restaurant had a sketchy entrance, but had very nice interior decor. The dining area was clean and well organized.

The Lamb kabobs were very good, I must say it’s quite authentic. However, I didn’t quite like the cucumber salad as it lacked basic taste and looked like it was haphazardly assembly. The Lamb pillow looked amazing, it could be better presented in my opinion, too bad the taste didn’t quite reflect the look. Finally, I had the lamb noodle soup, the broth used was rich and tasteful, the noodles looked like they were hand pulled and thick. It was good. The only bad thing about it was the small Lamb pieces they put.

Overall, this place can be impove a lot. But at current state of food quality and selection, I would not go back for...

Skewers were delicious and great value, but everything else on the menu did not look so good and the chicken potato noodle stew that we also ordered was not good. (The noodle was way to thick and chewy.)

Secondly, the restaurant itself was so dirty. Just gross! There were stains on the walls, crumbs on the table, the condiments tray looked super grimy, washroom was SOO stinky and the toilets look like there were brown stains everywhere. The carpet looked like it hasn’t been vacuumed in years and to top it all off, when I ordered a bottle of water, there were dirt stains on the cap! I mean the hygiene of the this restaurant could be immensely improve as it was really difficult to enjoy dinner when you feel like you’re in a dirty environment.
