Zero stars for service (cannot rate the food though since I left even before ordering).

Customer service seems to be absent at this restaurant, at least from the waitress I was interacting with. After some time waiting at the entrance to be assigned a table, the waitress told me to sit anywhere I wanted (I was alone, so I looked around to find a small table but unfortunately, they were all taken, so I went for the only remaining tables (a four-seat table - there were four of those empty tables available).

I understand that a solo customer has less potential revenue than a group of four, and I would never have taken a table of four if there were smaller tables available, or asked for confirmation if it was the only four-seat table remaining…

The waitress then told me I could not sit there and asked if I wanted to sit at the bar (which I did not want to because I needed to do some work at the same time). She then brought me to another table of four, the worst spot available at the very back, slightly outside of the restaurant perimeter near the window where it was very hot and sunny to a point of high discomfort).

Since I was clearly not welcome, I decided to leave for the competition, where I was warmed welcome.

The lady in question was a short, black woman with golden glasses, in case the owner care about performance review.

Having a brief look at the reviews, I have seen very similar experiences from previous visitors. Customers in the airport might be just passing through, but I sure know that word of mouth goes far over time and for frequent fliers like me, they just not lost one meal, but every subsequent meal I would have ordered at this place in the future.

Hopefully they will improve for future customers, thank you...

There's a number of good places to eat at Pearson airport, and this certainly counts as one of them. A molecular menu has been created, providing some tasty and familiar dishes with an interesting twist.

The crispy fish tacos are one of our go-to dishes here, and while we must admit they are never particularly crispy, they are always very tasty. The batter is fresh, flavourful and never greasy. They're served with a chipotle mayo and salsa gel - essentially creamy little jello cubes with a concentrated salsa flavour. All the taste with none of the mess!

We recently also tried their grilled cheese stacks; the cheese and prosciutto sammies were nice, but not particularly memorable. There was some cheddar cheese and prosciutto - but not much cheese and there was no indication that the bread was grilled. The mustard “pipette” (essentially a very light, foamed mousse) they were served with, however, deserve to be highlighted. It had an incredibly concentrated and rich flavour. The nice part is they're easy for sharing as they come on small baguette slices, so you get 4 mini sandwiches.

You have to be a bit assertive with staff. They will not seat you, which leaves some people confused as there is no sign letting you know you can plop yourself down wherever you please, so just seat yourself. Also once you have sat down, it's probably a good idea to make sure they notice you're there. Otherwise, we've had...

If you are using Priority Pass, insist on seeing the machine if they tell you there is an 'error' so that you don't lose out.

Priority Pass holders can get a certain amount off their bill when they check in. The staff pretended that the machine to scan the Priority Pass was not working (in hopes of turning us away). We called the Priority Pass helpline and figured out that the staff were simply skipping past the 'enter name' field on the machine to make it look like it was displaying an error message. They seemed sheepish when we called him out and did not apologise. Seemed shady. I appreciate they may not want Priority Pass holders (perhaps some don't tip?), but this is for them to sort out with their head office - not to take out on clientele.

Otherwise, had a lovely couple of glasses of prosecco bbefore my flight. Things are overpriced but as anything would be in terms of an...

Nice place at YYZ – Terminal 1 to grab a bite. Stopped by on a weekday around lunch to enjoy a charcuterie board and a coffee. The bread was to my liking for that type of food - crunchy and light tasting. The Brie was good, but I would have liked it a bit more flavorful. The salami had a nice kick to it. Unfortunately, I ate it too early so the rest of the meat is hard to evaluate as my tastebuds were slightly occupied with the species. All tasted good though. Note that the food selection is a bit limited. Overall, the serve was as expected for an airport. The bar is conveniently located to gates D1 - 12. My Rating: '4 Stars' = Very Good, '5 Stars' = Way Above Expectations

Originally, I sat down craving a burger. When I asked the server if they had one, she informed me they didn’t. Instead of simply stopping there, she kindly suggested other eateries in the airport where I could get a burger, including the restaurant directly opposite. I was impressed by her helpfulness and the effort to accommodate my request, but I was too tired to walk, so I decided to stay. That turned out to be the best decision! The bacon club sandwich I ordered was amazing—it tasted incredible! The orange juice was perfect too, with zero pulp, just the way I like it. The service was great, and the food was even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!
