My recent visit to the Mill Street Brewery restaurant at Toronto Pearson Airport left me with mixed feelings, clearly split between service and the condition of the premises/food. First, the positive. The service was fast and friendly. The staff worked efficiently, with a smile, and this certainly made the wait for the flight more pleasant. I have no complaints about the servers—they deserve a solid "five out of five." Food Quality and Cleanliness Unfortunately, I have significant concerns regarding the other aspects. The food quality is rated at 3 points. The dishes were, to put it mildly, uninspired. This is standard airport fare that seems to make no effort to impress with quality or taste. The most disappointing aspect is the cleanliness, which I can only rate at 2 points. The most noticeable issue was a thick layer of dust on all out-of-reach surfaces: on the televisions, the chandeliers, and even the wooden plank ceiling. It gives the impression that these areas haven't been cleaned in a very long time. What is most unacceptable is that this dust was literally floating into our dishes, making the meal extremely uncomfortable and raising serious questions about the establishment's sanitation standards. In summary: If you simply need to order quickly and efficiently while waiting for your flight—the staff at Mill Street Brewery will handle it perfectly. However, if you are looking for tasty food and, most importantly, want to dine in a clean, well-maintained environment, I cannot recommend this restaurant until the cleaning issues are addressed. Dust floating into a dish is unacceptable for an establishment of this kind.

Blacklisted. Horrendous. Worst airport food in years. Overpriced and terrible service. Food was almost inedible. Fries were stale and cold, oil tasted like it hadn't been changed in weeks. Angus burger was cold, cheese slice was unmelted, buns drenched in mayo, with bits of broccoli inside, suggesting lazy and dirty prep. The arugula with my burger was fresh. Veggie burger tasted like a spicy enchilada and tasted awful. Extremely rude server. When we told our waitress we only had 30 mins, she rolled her eyes, shrugged dismissively, saying "OK" and walked away. When she returned she kicked our bag out of the way of her feet; they were already under our table, but apparently she wanted them buried in the sidewall. We were shocked. Older lady, dark dyed red hair. Our ginger ale was flat - how is that even possible? $45 for two burgers and a drink. That garbage shouldn't have cost more than $20.

Their pickles taste like biting into fresh, squishy yet crunchy pickled glaciers in the middle of Lake Louise in the midst of July on a perfectly sunny day, whilst sunbathing on the top of a mountain towering over a sea of clear blue water, surrounded by said glaciers. The moistness of every bite is mind blowing. Each bite is followed by the perfect blend of thick, salty, crunchy, tangy, juicyness. It was the THICKEST pickle I ever had the utmost pleasure of seething my eager fangs into. Saved my last pickle bite for as long as I could until I finished the rest of my meal because I didn’t want the juicy pickle to ever end. Best pickle ever so far. Korean chicken sandwich was pretty good too (asked for a pickle on the side). Please let us know the brand of pickles if you can! Thanks <3

I am going to be pretty forward with this review. Food was average at best and service was nonexistent. I would give 0 stars if I could. Nothing spectacular with regards to the food…fries were cold, sandwiches were average and way overpriced. I will say being an airport location the price did not surprise me as I am used to paying for overpriced food and drinks at airports but this was pretty bad. Our server Karen was the biggest disappointment. Karen was more of an order taker than our server. We had to flag her down multiple times to get things we needed and not once were refills offered. She didn’t even ask us if we required anything else at the end of our experience.

Prior to sitting we asked to see a kids menu. We have a 7 year old and wanted to make sure they offer a kids pizza or chicken fingers…which they did. So we sat and made a point of ordering our sons meal ASAP. We ordered chicken fingers. When we received the bill we noticed we were charged $20 not the $4.99 that was advertised. When we questioned it we were met with attitude and a very argumentative server (Karen E Chk Number 8365). I was told we ordered an adults chicken fingers. I corrected the server and said I ordered chicken fingers for my 7 year old son. I was told I didn’t specify that we wanted a kids chicken fingers. I then said I didn’t think I had to, my son is 7 and obviously an adult meal would be too much. I was also told by the server she didn’t want to assume. I told her she did assume by ordering the adults menu and didn’t ask us if we wanted the kids chicken fingers or adult chicken fingers. It was so easy to ask. If you don’t know 100% what the guest wants then you ask a question or two. At this point we weren’t frustrated so much with the wrong meal item, it was the interaction with the server…where is the customer service. There was never an apology or even an attempt rectify the situation. We were just met with attitude and a server who just wanted to argue the point with us. I paid my more then overpriced bill and as stated earlier not even a hint at an apology for the mistake. She proceeded to finish the payments at the table and left prior to the final payments going through. Not even a thank you for dining with us or anything…not even a goodbye. This was the first time dining at this restaurant and quite frankly it will also...

First off, I'm only giving a 2 star because the food and a service was just on the borderline of satisfactory. When we walked in, we were greeted by a very angry and tired looking host. We asked for a table of three and he went to sit us at a decent sized table. However, we did have our dog in our carrier with us and suggested that we sit somewhere farther from other customers. So there was another table that was empty and just need a little wiping. He didn't seem pleased to announce to me that he had to clean the table before we could sit down and asked us if that was okay. Obviously, that is okay. We were in a good mood and just wanted to eat because our flight was delayed. He did not seem happy about having to clean the table off immediately but I let that go. My husband made a joke about making sure to purchase enough drinks for at least four people. The host then turned around and gave us a very unsatisfied look and said angrily with attitude "oh...you're only having drinks?" (Emphasis on only). My husband was a little bit thrown off with the unnecessary attitude and I angrily told him to just wipe the damn table. I usually have better manners than this but he had already started greeting us right from the moment we walked up to him with extremely bad behavior. He then picked up the cloth, threw it on the table and continued to clean it up. We waited a very long time for server to even come and get our drink orders. After that, the service was pretty attentive. However, the food was very mediocre. We are from Calgary and we have a Mill Street location on 17th Ave as well and we've never had an issue with service or the quality of food at that location. I felt as if our meal was just a mess. The food was okay tasting so that's why this location deserves a 2-star. On a side note, while waiting for our drink orders to be taken we had another heard another table that was sitting by us also complain about the slow service and another table who cam in right after us still didn't even get menus. It seems that a lot of people weren't getting really good service so it's...

Finished a 10 hour flight and decided to stop for lunch here. Server asked us if we were ready to order, we said no. We needed a few minutes to drink some water, and we were waiting for our brother to join us.

After the second check in, the server told us we needed to hurry up with our order. Looking around, seeing open tables and bar seats, I asked her if she thought we were just freeloading. She replied no, but “it’s Friday and things are moving fast here, the waiting area is outside.” After I explained we just got off a long flight and we were definitely going to order, she reiterated that we needed to order asap and left the table. BRUTAL guest experience, and a horrible way to handle the situation.

My brother and I left immediately and we ended up enjoying some beers and burgers down the hall at “twist by Roger Mooking”. Our server Venci was FANTASTIC, and told us to take our time and enjoy. If you’re in Gate 4 at Pearson, I recommend twist over Mill St every day of the week, and TWICE on Fridays

Also, I’m totally open to the idea that there is some store policy in airport restaurants to push guests to order quicker, as turnover is an important part to this niche market (not that I’ve ever experienced that at any airport myself personally). But service is about messaging and delivery. A guest doesn’t need to be talked down to, and have implied that they are freeloading, because they haven’t ordered as fast as the SERVER would like. ESPECIALLY when the restaurant isn’t full. This server needs some serious retraining on her guest approach, or management needs to change the culture of how this team handles guest situations. But, judging by some of the other Google reviews, it seems they don’t value their...
