JANINA THE WAITRESS WAS THE MOST RUDE PERSON EVER!!! All the Priority Pass lounges were closed but they came out with a new thing where we could use our priority passes at select bars/restaurants for $37 off our bill. I was seated at the Bar and Janina came over with the Priority pass machine (the same machine they use all over the world and in the actual lounges). I proceeded to show the bar code on my cell phone and she immediately reacts and says "no no no you have to show me the card" and I ask how come? this is on my priority pass app with my own barcode why do i need to show you the priority pass physical card especially during this covid times everything is touchless now. She tried to lie and says it's the policy and that my cell phone wont scan PLEASE WOMAN I'VE BEEN TRAVELLING ALL MY LIFE you can't tell me that my priority pass QR code that I've been using for 6+ yrs can't scan or can't be manually entered on the machine that I've seen other customer agents done so many times! I proceeded to show her how to enter my card number and expiry date on the machine and she took it away saying no no no it won't work. At this point there's a difference between "the machine doesn't have that capability" and "I don't know how to do it". IT was so ridiculous. I hate to rat on immigrants and waitresses but she was just plain rude and refuse to learn, raising her voice at me - I can see she was just embarrassed that she didnt know how and had a huge ego. I just walked out and say Janina you got to learn new technologies the world is touchless now. Went and got a frappucino from...

The food is terrible. The prices are high. The service is incredibly slow.

I know not to expect much at an airport, but this was bad... really bad. The food is completely tasteless and takes FOREVER. Unacceptable for an airport restaurant to take so long. A normal restaurant, fine, but when people have flights to catch, maybe hurry up a little. The chicken sandwich I got was disgusting. Firstly, it was dark meat which if I had known, I wouldn't have ordered. Most places use breast meat. But... I could have dealt with that had the seasoning not been so weird and the meat itself be such poor quality. It was gross. Chunks of gooey fat in the meat. Ew. I couldn't eat it. It was like pulling tumours out of my sandwich.

The curry had zero flavour at all. And they don't even serve coffee? What is the point of a restaurant at an airport without it?

The only good thing was our server was very nice. She was okay, but the server replacing her on shift was awful. He was so slow and we watched him completely ignore the table beside us for a long time. They waited so long for attention, and when he finally arrived, he was so slow and clearly didn't want to be there. Most of the servers seemed to just ignore tables (I watched a lot of people trying to get their servers' attention), so I assume it's poor floor management/training rather than a team of bad servers because most of them seemed nice.

Never going back....

I connect at YYZ frequently. I went to this place one week ago, sat by the entrance, ordered a beer, and grilled pork. The entire time, the waiter didn't check how was the meal. Neither did he bring me a steak knife to cut that chunk of pork, nor bring me a glass of water. I tried to catch his attention a couple times and he was busy chatting with others in the bar area. I signaled him to bring me the bill. A few minutes later, he finally came over with a machine and asked for the 1st time, how was the meal? I replied, it was ok. I thought about not tipping him at tall, but in the end, I gave him 5%. Then before he took away all the dirty plates, he confronted me: "really? only 1.5!! You said the meal was ok?!"

I waited on tables for years and managed two restaurants when I was in college. I was upset and was going to lecture him on what a terrible waiter he was. I would have fired him if I was his boss. I was fired at my first job as a waiter, and I was deserved it because I was acting just like him, expect he had the balls to confront costumers. But I didn't do it. I was too tired after 8 hours of flying and waiting. So I told him the pork was over cooked. Then I took off. I will never return to this business, and I will encourage people I know to avoid them. I don't appreciate their staff's self entitled attitude. Do your job! The owner need to know this story and hire...

Ate here on a layover. It was quick seating. I got served in a decent amount if time. The dish I had was the fried chicken with fries. It was good. It was different but in a good way. I had some kind of lime sauce with my chicken. I'd eat it again.

Shocked to have had such a delicious experience at an airport restuarant! I've eaten here in years past but suspect the menu has been updated. I had the "knife and fork burger" and it is aptly named - a bit messy if you want to eat it by hand. I can only liken the cheese to fondue and it has inspired me to make a fondue burger at home. Absolutely delicious and for sure next time I am flying I will have it again. Rest of the meal was okay, not remarkable. Service was a bit slow but I wasn't in a rush. There was a tablet next to where I was sitting that was controlling the music in the restaurant. And while the music was good, someone was frequently coming by and fiddling with it and needing me to mvoe out of the way etc. Not ideal. Lastly, 18% as the minimum tip on the machine earns a default -1 star. Do better.
