I enjoy the flavour of and deals of dominoes pizza however multiple terrible experiences back-to-back have really left me disappointed and will not order again. In the past 3 times I have ordered:
Driver could not locate my home despite being provided the correct address, the neighbourhood is a townhouse so slightly more complex, but there are huge illuminated signs at every entrance. I was in a cast due to a broken leg hence ordering the pizza in the first place and could not leave my home to get it. I called my friend and gave her my phone to scramble and find the delivery driver in the parking lot.
On the second occasion, driver could also not locate my home, and after multiple phone calls like the first incident, and explaining to the driver to just read the map, he found the home. My father brought the order in (again as I am in a cast) and I noticed the sauces were missing, and the pizza was lukewarm due to the delay. I called the driver again and asked where the sauces where and he explained that he forgot them in the delivery back and will return shortly, where I then had to trouble my father again to wait outside for his return.
On the third occasion, I placed an order at 9:11pm, and at 9:22 the tracker stated the order was being quality checked. The email stated the delivery would be brought in 25-35 minutes. at 10:07pm, around 40 minutes later. I had called the phone number for the store and inquired into the pizza. The gentleman on the phone seemed disgruntled and stated the driver left a short while ago and will be there in "about 5 minutes". at 10:23pm, the pizza was still missing. shortly after, I received a phone call from the driver, who also stated he could not locate my home. I had again asked my friend to locate him as per the usual routine with dominoes pizza, but after walking across the whole complex and up and down the street, we could not locate the driver, even after multiple phone calls trying to direct him. at 10:47, over 1.5 hours after ordering, the pizza was still not here, and we texted the driver to just cancel the order and return it. After waiting over 1.5 hours (3x the quoted time of 25-35 minutes) we were starving and had to wait another 40 minutes for another pizza delivery service to bring an order to our home (which they did without any incident)
I understand mistakes happen, and sometimes there are miscommunications, but I have now had 3 back-to-back issues with dominoes, with the most recent one resulting in me not even getting my food. I also occasionally order from Pizza Pizza and Pizza Nova, and I have never had an issue with delivery like I have had 3 times in a row with dominoes (even on the same night as the third occasion). There is clearly a systematic issue with how these deliveries are being done, and it is disappointing as Dominoes is my favourite franchise, but I cant even get the pizza to show up at the door. I am not looking for credit or anything, I just want to highlight these shortcomings in hopes they are corrected...
Read moreThe staff are standard - not particularly friendly but not rude either. I must say though that the operation feels impersonal where despite the nice appearance of establishment, it feels like the staff just want to process orders quickly and minimize interaction with customers. Anyway I digress - where things drop in quality is in the actual product. Dominos email deal/promo game probably one of the best I’ve subscribed to, but the pizza execution is subpar which is unfortunate - I’ll go into more detail...
I want to like Dominos because of the value when you sign up for offers, where they have 50% off orders sometimes but the taste/quality is just not there. For me - and I know sauce preference is generally subjective but I’ll try to be as objective as possible here - the sauce is overwhelming most of the time in quantity and pungency when I get a tomato sauce based pizza. So that’s feedback #1. Either the recipe is off (which, in this location’s defense I would have to try another location to truly determine if Dominos is subpar), or the execution in preparing the pizza is off.
Feedback #2, despite picking up my pizza orders and living within 5 minutes of this location, and ensuring that I arrive before the pizza is finished, by the time I get home one of the pizza’s will always be stone cold, which is so disappointing. So I don’t know if - let’s say I ordered 2 pizzas - one will be finished the prep stage early and just be left sitting on the counter (this seems to be the case because I’ve seen my pizza left on the counter before) while the other one is in the oven...in that case it comes back down to the execution again.
So final verdict - I have a sample size of about 10 orders at this specific location, and I’d say that a random quality inspection personnel from corporate needs to come in to ensure that a pepperoni pizza (for instance) is up to the standard expected, and I think training needs to take place to give off a warmer vibe by the staff, and also train the staff on order time management to ensure that pizzas ordered together are finished together. Genuinely, 241, and Pizza Nova in the vicinity are leaps and bounds ahead of this location. I’ll try another Dominos location in the future and ensure that it’s truly an execution issue, which I’ll report back...
Read moreI never had such an experience at Pizza Pizza or any Other Pizza place or Food Outlets in the last 18 years.
Since this location opened, i have been their pretty much every month.
Since this location Opened, business may be good but the Behaviour of some of the Male staff is Awkward & Rude. The Staff at this Domino's is Discouraging eating in the Store.
They close down their Dining area 4+ hours ago giving variety of excuses & simply lying. It takes 10 minutes to clean that area. No food outlets closes there Dining Area 4+ hours before actual closing time.
It's not a place to go with friends and family and sit down to enjoy a meal any more. This location avoid social gathering to enjoy pizza in their dining area completely.
Mostly South Asian/Indian Staff who behaviour was different when they opened this location and since then it's a place best to avoid if going with few friends.
They simply don't want people sit and eat when they have Dining Area and they barricade the same giving false excuses.
One of the male staff became so rude and aggressive and told, it's up to them what they want to keep open & close and when.
Last name *JIT, something like that.
Staff does not have good personal hygiene and long hair and beard and the same hand they are delivering pizza and the same hand they have brooms.
They broom on your face while you are eating pizza is a common behaviour of the staff here & still they are keeping such an staff.
Usually it's some of the Punjabi staff, who conduct themselves in this fashion.
They are unable to dedicate a staff towards timely cleaning and hence close down dining area. If you have to just pick-up a pizza, then go elsewhere as well.
Due to high delivery orders they loose track of how to properly fill toppings for customers who have ordered to pick-up via On-line or who have ordered on the counter to eat-in.
Any body and every body call themselves Supervisor and Manager, when asked. They don't provide the Name of the real Supervisor or Manager or Owner of this domino's franchisee location.
Please go else where if you simply wish to enjoy a pizza without avoiding above environment...
