I've come here many times. I enjoy the following bubble tea flavours: tiramisu milk tea, caramel milk tea, classic milk tea, oolong milk tea, honey milk tea, mango milk tea (favourite), brown sugar milk tea, taro milk tea (favourite - such a creamy taro), Paris 1883 (just ok), coconut (thick coconut, I like this less than mango but still a good change in flavour. For coconut, this is done very well), and red bean (delicious flavour made from red bean paste. Brown sugar tapioca - very tender pearls, amazing), peach (I like this fruit, among the fruits, I like: mango, coconut, peach [it's fresh whole peach that's diced), creme brulee with salted cheese foam (creme brulee is very rich and creamy, and the salted cheese foam adds some salt flavour which is a nice touch), honeydew (very tart honeydew flavour, very intense flavour from the 1/2 honeydew syrup). Thai milk tea - nice black tea/cardamom flavours (I like this, but this Thai milk tea is not as good as the Thai restaurants I go to). Black sesame milk tea - great, milky, creamy, thick nutty flavour - tastes great if you like walnut/black sesame flavours, but for me, I don't particularly prefer it so this flavour is just average to me. Oolong bubble tea - it was too heavy on the tea side, I like fruiter bubble teas more.
Also the passionfruit milk bubble tea with tapioca is amazing (1 of my fav) - it's a sour sweet milk flavour, tastes like kiwi and milk (tastes like a fruity yogurt) and the blend just tastes very unique and amazing. Passion fruit is definitely a unique taste and it's one I love. Just tried the kiwi milk bubble tea - this is also great. Nice sweet-sour yogurt-y fruity flavour. If I had to rank the passionfruit vs the kiwi, I still prefer passion fruit (more tart flavour vs the kiwi which tastes a bit artificial. both are half fruit half syrup, and the passionfruit just tastes better). However, recommend trying both.
For the IG aesthetics, I like brown sugar milk tea (caramelization), mango (orange), matcha/honeydew (green), strawberry (pink), and taro (purple) bubble teas.
~Dec 2022: Love the new taro bubble tea flavour. High quality, creamy taro. Also had the Paris 1883 taro - it is not for me, it had too many flavours/textures to it (bubble tea, jelly, oreo cookies).
Sept 2023: Had a large red bean bubble tea (good) and a medium taro bubble tea (My favourite. Got it with 0 sugar. I love the taste of taro in this drink. I should continue getting it like this).
Sept 2023: Had a large honeydew. This one was good, but it was too sweet tbh. Next time ask for 50% sugar.
Future: Try and see if they can make me a custom drink. A thai and taro combination bubble tea with 2 different variation ; try it twice, once with milk and once with coconut...
Read moreThis place is without a doubt, home to the most high quality bubble tea in the area. Some of you boba connasieurs in Churchill Meadows may remember my review on Honey Teaspresso. Ever since this new plaza opened up I've been searching and hoping to find some of the really good boba I'm used to, within walking distance of my house. Well look no further, I'd say the quality of the tea here easily rivals The Alley! I tried the Matcha red bean with cheese foam and the Oolong milk tea with cheese foam so far, and the oolong tea was nice and strong while the matcha was smooth and lacked any bitterness, even with barely any sugar added.
Speaking of which, another thing I love about this place is that they truly don't use a lot of sugar. I have a habit of ordering 50% sugar by default because I expect most boba places will make their tea extremely sweet, but Gotcha stays true to their merits and lets their tea shine. To me, 50% is just enough to season the tea and provide a barely detectable sweetness. I expect 75% would be just a little sweet and 100% to be moderately sweet. Also, if anyone was wondering, they use cane sugar to sweeten their drinks. And for what it's worth, when I asked for less ice there really was only a few cubes and it was very chilled, so they don't cheap you out!
Now I'll be real, they are on the pricer side for bubble tea, which is something i'm used to because I frequent The Alley. But I assure you if you're willing to pay for it, it's more than worth it. The ambience of the store itself amd the kindness of the staff and superb. Plus they are dog friendly, which I always appreciate when taking my dog on walks. With the comfy couches and cute decor, this is a great hangout spot and i'm definitely bringing all my friends here when I...

1st visit, 3Aug24: I ordered the large taro milk tea (30% sugar and no ice with pearl beads and red beans) and 2 large milk teas (30% sugar, 50% ice and pearl beads).
The taro milk tea tasted powdery. I feel like the taro is now taro powder when it used to be taro paste? The red bean with the tapioca complemented well in this drink. The milk teas tasted good, but seemed watered down. I would have wanted a stronger milk tea flavor.
Know: I messed up my tapioca selection. I should have ordered brown sugar tapioca (the black tapioca - more bouncy with a sweeter flavour depth) over the pearl beads (clear tapioca - more chewy but flavour is less complex). Will do that next time.
2nd visit, 11Aug24: Ordered 2 medium milk teas (30% sugar, 50% ice). With pearl beads and maple sugar boba. And a large peach yogurt milk tea with 30% sugar and 50% ice and brown sugar tapioca. Milk tea tasted average, peach yogurt tasted great. I messed up my order - I would want to order large milk tea and I would want brown sugar tapioca (but I didn’t have the option for that tapioca wtf - so I think it comes default?). Also I dislike the maple sugar boba - it’s too maple syrup sweet (so will stick to brown sugar boba and pearl beads as a 2nd alternative). And the peach yogurt - I would order again - that was creamy, milky, peachy and delicious. I like their yogurt drinks.
3rd visit, 1Feb25: ordered some classic milk tea bubble tea and 1 yakult green tea. It tasted like yakult yogurt flavours mixed with green tea. Gives it a kiwi herbal green tea flavour. I enjoyed the exotic taste experience.
Future: order my fav flavours and know that I like brown sugar tapioca the best. And yogurt drinks. And...
