I recently celebrated my baby's birthday and opted for a daytime party at this venue. I'd like to share my experience with a few points.
Decorations: I had the pleasure of working with a decorator who inquired about setting up decorations before the event. The management was quite accommodating, allowing us to proceed with the decoration setup. This initial response from the management was a positive start to our experience.
Service and Charges: I did encounter a minor hiccup when it came to drinks. When asked about serving drinks, I agreed assuming they would be included in the package buffet. To my surprise, there was an additional charge for the drinks which caught me off guard. This variance from what I had seen in previous reviews where drinks were complimentary led to some confusion.
Food Quality and Freshness: While the food quality was average and the chat was good, there was a noticeable aspect related to the food presentation. We had visited the venue the night before for decoration setup and noticed that the same food trays from the previous night were being used on the day of the event. Fresh food was only available for a specific item. This raised some concerns about the freshness of the food.
Temperature Control: Unfortunately, during the party, the air conditioning wasn't functional. Despite several requests for assistance, the AC was never restored. Instead, a table fan was brought in as a temporary solution, which left some of our guests seeking cooler spaces outside the party room. This unexpected issue with temperature control impacted the overall comfort of the event.
Billing Experience: Upon receiving the bill totaling $1300, I inquired about the possibility of a discount. However, the response from the staff seemed less than accommodating, leaving me a bit taken aback. They mentioned our presence the previous night for decoration setup as a justification against any discount. Additionally, they brushed off the AC issue, stating it was functional despite the need for a table fan. The billing experience felt somewhat confrontational.
In the end, the party concluded on a mixed note. The serving staff did a commendable job, and the management was cooperative initially. However, certain aspects, such as the unexpected charges, food freshness, and temperature control, did affect the overall experience. Furthermore, the billing interaction left me a bit perplexed, particularly due to the surprise 13% default tip that wasn't initially indicated in the bill. Despite this, I decided to give a 20% tip.
I hope this feedback helps others in making an informed decision when considering this venue for...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you’re looking for authentic Indian food in the GTA, India’s Taste is truly a gem! I visited their Mississauga location recently (they also have a Brampton location), and the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish.
The buffet is a highlight – with both veg and non-veg options, everything is fresh, flavorful, and authentically Indian. From starters to mains and desserts, the variety is impressive, and the quality is consistently excellent. Right now, they even have a 10% discount on the buffet, all day, 7 days a week until October 3rd, which makes it even better value.
One thing that makes India’s Taste stand out is their live chaat counter and hot jalebi station. Watching the fresh jalebis being fried and served crispy and warm is an experience in itself – and the taste is unbeatable! The chaat options like tikki chaat, golgappe, and dahi puri bring back true street food flavors in the most hygienic and delicious way.
Their special promotions are also worth mentioning – I tried the Chana Bhatura deal (buy one, get one free) and it was amazing! Perfectly fluffy bhaturas with chana that had the right balance of spices. They also have a Buy 1lb fish, get 1lb free deal, which is such great value for seafood lovers. On weekends, their Halwa Puri breakfast till 2pm is a must-try – rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious.
The ambiance is lovely – clean, spacious, and welcoming. They also have a beautiful outdoor patio for those who like to dine al fresco, and private event spaces that are perfect for parties, corporate events, or family celebrations.
On top of all this, India’s Taste offers handmade artisanal sweets that taste just like they’ve been made at home with love – no shortcuts, no powders, no substitutes. Their tiffin service is also a great option for those who want homestyle meals to-go.
The staff is warm and attentive, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, India’s Taste delivers on flavor, authenticity, and hospitality. Whether you’re going for the buffet, the chaat, the sweets, or weekend specials, you’ll leave satisfied every time. Highly recommend both the Mississauga and Brampton locations for anyone craving real...
Read moreI wish I could give a minus rating. We recently organized a baby shower function and decided to order food for 45 people (Our guest number was 42 people). Unfortunately, we received food that was barely enough to feed 36 people. The quantity was not good for paneer gravy and dal. We called them and the owner said that "you might have more guests, our food cannot be less." It was a very embarrassing situation for us at the function.
When we went to their restaurant, the whole staff was not believing us and accused us that their food can not be short. We told them only 36 dishes were used and our guest number didn’t go up. When we requested to talk with the owner. They dialed a call and made us talk with her on the phone. To make matters worse, the owner's attitude and behavior were shockingly rude. Instead of acknowledging their mistake and attempting to find a solution, the owner seemed completely disinterested and unapologetic. She came with a new reason. Their catering has three gravies and we substitute one gravy with the starter. So we choose one paneer gravy and dal for our catering. Ower said “That’s your mistake that you change our menu”, however, it was suggested by their customer service person EKTA that you can replace one item if you wish. If the food is going to be short due to changing a gravy, it is their duty to inform us while ordering. According to them, they are in this business for 20 years, we don’t organize functions every week. The owner put the whole blame on us by saying “You should not change our menu, we didn’t know how many guested were there, your guests have eaten more. etc etc.” and ended the call by saying that I have to no time to talk with you.
Then we talked with a chef who accepted that he knew that the food is going to be short as there was one less gravy. Again, we went there twice before the function (To order and a second time to make 100% payment), and no one ever suggested us of the same. When we organized our function, why should we create an embarrassing situation for a couple of dollars?
This restaurant was recommended by the hall owner that we booked for our function. We inform them not to recommend this restaurant to anyone. They didn’t have the courtesy to apologize once for spoiling our function. Worst customer service ever we have received after paying...
