I called around 6 pm to inquire if they had any one bed two person non smoking beds and Tausif munir ( he claimed to be the manager) said yes. So I booked it. I called to confirm and they had the reservation.
I show up at 11 pm and I ask to see the room first to ensure its clean. "No. We do not do that here. ". Weird but whatever. Never had I had a problem making sure the room was clean but okay. It's late and we want sleep. We pay and go upstairs.
Room 228. The door is open. You can clearly tell from the middle of the hallway. And it smells of smoke. I ensured it was smoke free when booking and confirming. We walked into the room and I almost had an asthma attack.
I went back to reception and asked to be switched. No. But he'll refund me. Can you clean the room so it doesn't smell? It doesn't. It's a non smoking. Tell that to my asthma. Can you spray something so I don't choke? Nope. That's not his job.
Tausif munir was extremely rude and sexist. Refused to look me in the eye. Said there are no more available rooms and that they are all booked. Funny, online they still had room. So I call a male I know and he calls to inquire about rooms. Yes. Tausif munir has rooms for the male calling but not for the female asking in his lobby at 1130 at night.
I started feeling very disrespected and threatened by Tausif munir and asked to speak to a manager. He said he is all I can speak to. I told him I have asthma and feel sick and that we booked a room to stay. No. Leave. Aren't we paying you?! He was rude, disrespectful, sexist, and on a power trip.
All while this is happening, he is answering phone calls and telling people that he has rooms available. But not for me.
A gentleman came in and got another room right in front of me.
I told him I feel faint and may pass out. Nope. Leave. While already having my money in his hand!!!
He refused to accommodate a white woman. Simply disgusting. Never been treated so unfairly. Will make sure corporate hears of this.
He lied to corporate, ADAM from OHIO when he...
Read moreUpon walking into the front doors there was an overwhelming odour of cigarette smoke with an accompanying reek of strong perfume attempting to mask the cigarette smoke stench. In hopes that the nauseating mix of smoke and perfume was from motel patrons I accepted the room . The hallway towards the ground room floor room also had a moderate odour of stale cigarette smoke. Upon entering the room it was obvious that either a smoker had occupied or actually smoked in that room. I immediately went to the front desk where they apologized for the inconvenience and gave me another room. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. No concerns at all with the service. The next room was much better but the smell was still everywhere. The walls and ceilings were obviously yellowed from years of cigarette smoke and I can only presume that is the source from which the residual smell was emanating. The perfumed cover up made it so much worse, especially in the lobby and front vestibule. I love that this motel is pet friendly and affordable and that is why I chose it. I was even happier with the friendliness of all the staff members but this motel needs a serious repainting with premium odour covering paint. Not the cheap paint. Odour blocking paint. I will repeat for emphasis. THIS MOTEL NEEDS REPAINTING WITH PREMIUM QUALITY ODOUR COVERING PAINT. Please stop trying to cover the odour with perfumes. I will repeat for emphasis. PLEASE STOP TRYING TO COVER THE ODOUR WITH PERFUMES. Ceilings too. Please don't forget the ceilings. Every inch, every surface needs repainting in order to get rid of the cigarette smoke stench. And the carpets. It is most likely in the carpets too. Although the carpet tiles did look alright. Perhaps just a good shampoo for the carpets. Please, please, please! You have a wonderful staff, all staff. From front desk to housekeeping. Please take care of the heavy cigarette smoke stench overwhelming your otherwise...
Read moreFirst off I got here after a 26 hour train ride, I was tired. The girl that checked me in seemed confused when I told her I was paying with American money(usd). I booked through Orbitz for a week stay and my usd total was 316 with out tax. Good deal right? Wrong. I had to pay 440 in usd to get my room due to a 1:1 exchange rate. I was not notified of this. She explained it was taxes and there was a 1.25 fee per bill if I paid in usd. I spoke to the manager, who refused to help me. He claimed he lost money on my bill....when in fact they scammed me out of 70 dollars. I called the main headquarters and complained. Their reply was the hotel had done nothing wrong by accepting my money...they then assured me the manager would again talk to me...which he didn't. Also at check in I was informed I have 2 days of room service. I got to choose the dates and picked the 3rd and 5th day. 5th day came around and no house Cleaning. I again went to the desk where I was given attitude for requesting room service. She said I was not scheduled for it then informed me if I requested it now my 2nd day of room service would not be available. What BS. The lock on my room door does not work properly. I have to put the key in when I leave about 4 times to make it shut because the deadbolt gets stuck. As far as the room, it's clean and tidy no complaints. The bed is hard and lumpy but for the price I can't complain about that. But the customer service seriously sucks and the Pakistani manager is running a scam service....unbelievable! Make sure to exchange your money somewhere else if you decide to stay at this poorly...
