KFC - 965 Dundas St. East Mississauga

I haven't been to this KFC location in a while because the quality of the food and customer service had seriously declined in the past. A little over a month ago, I noticed the restaurant was fully renovated, so I thought I'd give it another shot. The place looked clean and updated, and as someone who likes to support local businesses, I figured it was worth another try.

I went yesterday around 6 PM after work, hoping to grab a quick dinner. To my surprise, I was told there would be a 45-50 minute wait for chicken. This was the first time I've ever gone to a fast food restaurant and been told I'd have to wait up to almost an hour for food. Fast food? More like slow food.

The woman at the back who seemed to be the manager didn't seem apologetic or even remotely friendly. She was giving orders to her staff with a complete lack of expression, almost as if I were talking to a robot. I was already tired and hungry, so I decided to leave instead of waiting that long.

Today, I thought I'd try again since it's just a short walk from my house. The restaurant had just opened, and there were no other customers inside. I got my order without a problem, but as soon as I received my food, another customer came in and was told there was another 45-50 minute wait for chicken. The customer even mentioned that they had driven all the way there. What's more frustrating is that the staff still didn't apologize. The manager was once again expressionless and completely unfriendly. It's as if they didn't care at all.

I got home, only to be further disappointed. The chicken portions were ridiculously small, and the pieces had different colors, as if last night's chicken had been mixed in with today's. The large fries didn’t even fill the container they came in. It was just an overall poor experience.

After this visit, I’ve decided I’ll never be coming back to this KFC location, and I’m honestly reconsidering visiting any KFC restaurant at all. The food quality, the lack of customer service, and the overall experience were just too disappointing. It’s a shame, but I won’t be wasting my time or...

--Edit Aug 14,2025-- ---Don't be fooled by the 5 star ratings for this location. If you look carefully the vast majority of the 5 star ratings are from 1 and 2 and 4 post reviewers. Obvious fakes. If it wasn't for that this place would no doubt be a 1.5 or 2 star at best.---

Absolutely terrible!

So here's the lowdown, we go in and try to order two 3 piece meals, one original spices the other with spicey we're told there's no spicey. Ok so scrap that idea. Order a 3 piece meal and ask if the zinger sandwich is possible. We get a 'yes'. Ok so we order 3piece meal and a spicey zinger sandwich meal.

No receipt was given. We wait 15 minutes order is finally ready. The front clerk decides to tell us at that point, he made a mistake and punched it in as a zinger wrap instead of sandwich. Ok ... a little annoyed, but then asked if we can then get it right and get the sandwhich, he says " no I put in wrong as a wrap" ... He didn't want to correct his mistake, made it clear he had no intentions to either.

On top of that he forgot to put the fries in the bag.

We had to go back inside after to get them, and was given attitude

Pretty mad at this point but rather than argue... what can I say? This KFC...

Normally I would forgive and forget but... After this experience I'm making an acception. First of all, the delivery time was well over an hour, and I really hoped the food would make up for that... No such luck. When the food arrived I will usually eat a few fries first. When I did this, I thought they must of come from antarctica because of how cold they were. The next thing was the chicken sandwich I ordered. It was just a piece of chicken slapped between two buns. No pickles and no sauce or anything. It was literally just one piece of chicken and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this (pictures provided). Worst thing of all... I FOUND A HAIR IN MY SANDWICH! (A little hard to see but it's there) I know it wasn't one of mine, or anyone's because we have hair at least twice as long as the one I found in my food. It was disgusting and had to throw away the whole sandwich. Terrible experience. One more small thing was that they didn't give us forks for my sister's poutine, but it wasn't a huge issue. Oh, they also gave us corn instead of mashed potatoes. I advise anyone that wants to order food from KFC to not order from...
