I had an absolutely delightful experience at Kibo Sushi House, located in the food court at Square One. From the moment we stepped in, we were impressed by the inviting ambiance and friendly staff. The lunch we had here was truly remarkable! First and foremost, the freshness of the food was outstanding. Each dish we ordered, from the miso soup to the tuna avocado tartare, was bursting with flavor and made from the finest ingredients. Not only was the taste of the food exceptional, but the presentation of the dishes was also a feast for the eyes. Every plate that arrived at our table was beautifully arranged, showcasing the skill and artistry of the chefs. The service was both rapid and attentive. Our orders were promptly taken, and the dishes were served with efficiency. Despite the bustling atmosphere of the food court, the staff made sure we felt valued and well-cared for throughout our meal. We ordered a variety of items, including the mango salad, tuna roll, and Philadelphia roll. The portion sizes were more than adequate, leaving us satisfied without feeling overly full. It was the perfect balance, and we appreciated that they didn't skimp on quantity. One of the most pleasant surprises was the pricing. Given the top-notch quality of the food and the overall dining experience, we expected a higher price tag. However, Kibo Sushi House pleasantly surprised us with reasonable and budget-friendly prices, making our lunch even more enjoyable. Overall, I can confidently say that Kibo Sushi House has earned its place among my favorite sushi spots. If you're looking for fresh, delicious sushi served with a smile, all at a reasonable cost, this is the place to go. I highly recommend Kibo Sushi House to anyone seeking a fantastic sushi cafe in Mall Square's food court. I'll certainly be back for more!

The 2* is for the poor service but the food itself was great. We usually grab the takeout from the market side when we walk by but decided to sit down today to compare to the other Kibo locations. The presentation was nice and no complaints about the fish. The rice was just slightly dry but overall I enjoyed it. I had the chirashi don and my partner got the sashimi B with sushi rice on the side. Both of our meals came with salad and soup but she only gave us one salad and said it was for the sashimi B meal. We had to grab the menu and show her that both came with salad. After that, she also forgot to bring the sushi rice that we ordered and we had to flag her down again. We realized after we finished eating that they gave us 2 pieces less of the sashimi than what was advertised on the menu - 18 pieces instead of 20. So all in all, there were 3 instances of not giving us something or enough of what we ordered. I’d come again just for the food but don’t expect good service in the seated section, and double check everything that you ordered and check the receipt.

UPDATE: Came in again to try another day, the service was so much better and the food was still very well made. The Sushi was decent and well portioned, we had the torched butterfish and the house special sushi. They tasted well and did not have an overly torched/gasoline taste like other sushi place. The Takoyaki was a big serving, however the actual Octopus pieces are so small, and mostly batter. They were generous on the Katsuobushi which was nice. Edemame was usual. The Service was horrible, the servers (2 at the time) were so disorganized. Two tables that were seated after my table had their orders taken first and had their food first. I also don’t understand why the server won’t use paper and pen to write orders, rather than coming back and forth to different tables to confirm orders and continuously apologize for forgetting. Please train your staff, and perhaps don’t let 2 servers run a Saturday Evening shift while also running the delivery/takeout with the same 2 servers-it isn’t fair to them or your customers.

We went here for the first time ever during a break from language tests at the college across the road. Our server (there were two of them) seemed to have it out for either me or my friend right off the bat for some reason. After we were seated did not bring us water but brought other tables water. Seated another patron to the table next to ours and asked him what he wanted to order before us. The man said that we were there first and that we should order. She sheepishly took our order. Brought our food but no serving plates, had to ask for those. Had to ask for liquid refreshments. Had to ask for our empty plates to be taken away. The dine-in area of this place is very small I would say less than 150 sq.foot. Immediately after we're done she asks us if I want the bill. I just explain to her that we would like to finish our cups of tea we had a long morning and a long afternoon ahead of us and we want to relax and chill. Her response is to disappear into the back kitchen and nearly never come out again. When we were ready she never came back to the table I had to make hand signals while she stood in the kitchen door that we wanted to pay now and had the other server make the bill. This person had a personal problem with us and we've never seen her before or even been to that restaurant before. Of course I didn't leave a tip. Disrespectful for no reason. I would like to know what her problem with us was. Food was good. Service very bad,...

I'm mainly here to comment on the experience we got at this location. My friend bought take-out food from the attached market but we still wanted to order at the restaurant and eat. As soon as we walked in, the server looked at the food and did not even offer to seat us and said that we can't sit here to eat, even before we could say that we wanted to get a table. When we ordered and informed her of our allergies, she responded with "don't worry"???? instead of just ensuring us that she would inform the kitchen. What does “don’t worry” mean?? You're making me worried by saying "don't worry"!! She then brought us our food, and after about 5 minutes, we informed her that we needed chopsticks since she didn't give us any. SHE THEN PROCEEDS TO TAKE THE CHOPSTICKS FROM THE TABLE NEXT TO US. WHICH HAD PEOPLE ALREADY SEATED AND ALREADY WAITING FOR THEIR FOOD!! Ma'am that's unsanitary and unprofessional! My friend and I also got the same roll, while he ordered another on the side, both our rolls came together as one roll but 2 portions, but we thought that was just my portion as she did not inform us anything. When we asked her where my friend's roll was, she THEN said that the one roll was for the both of us?? When we were ready to pay, we asked if we were able to split the bill, she hits us with another "✋🏼DON'T WORRY🤚🏼". Amazing! Our experience was basically half eating, and half the time trying to get her attention because she would not stop talking with the...
