Does not accommodate or understand allergies. Bad service. Rude manager.
Three stars for food because although it did taste good, it looks better than it tastes. However for the price point and quantity I think I could even give it up to a 3.7.
With that being said, let’s get to what lowered the rating for us.
We told our server that our friend had a peanut allergy. We emphasized and specifically went through dish by dish to ensure that there is no peanut contamination. Unfortunately, the server was not aware of their own kitchen practices, their deep fryer uses a mixture of oils, including peanut oil. Our friend was served the skewers that were deep fried (a whole separate solitary review deserved) in the peanut contaminated oil and they almost had to use their EpiPen. Thankfully he’s a slow eater so when his mouth started to itch and swell a lot he immediately stopped eating.
Not only did he not finish his meal, but he had to pay for it.
At this point, we weren’t just annoyed, simply upset. What really disappointed us was when the “manager” of the shift came up to us and gaslighting by saying “that you did not specify that there was a peanut allergy at this table”. Extremely disrespectful. Did we not change our order multiple times to accommodate for my friend’s anaphylactic allergy.
So there was a continuous back-and-forth conversation with our server to ensure that no one at the table was getting anything that was cross contaminated with peanuts.
Side comments for service: it really blew my mind when I asked the server for the corner booth. Which she verbatim responded with “we don’t recommend customers to sit there because we forget about them”. Which is very ironic because this was the only server that was tending to all tables.
In conclusion this is the kinda place I’d only get food from if there was a discount on uber...
Read moreToday, I came here to eat alone. The restaurant was busy, with lots of customers and plenty of staff. However, I noticed three female servers chatting at the bar instead of attending to guests. Even though there were empty tables, none of them came over to help seat me.
After a while, a young male server approached, greeted me politely, and explained that he needed to help another customer settle their bill first but would return shortly. I appreciated his effort and waited about 7–8 minutes.
During this time, another group of three people arrived. One of the female servers who had been chatting earlier immediately approached them, confirmed they were a party of three, and seated them right away—skipping over me entirely.
Frustrated, I stopped another server passing by and asked if I could order takeout since it seemed there were no tables available for me. To my surprise, she laughed and replied, “So, can you order takeout?” I then asked why I couldn’t be seated when there were people clearly about to leave and empty tables available. It left me wondering: does dining alone mean I don’t deserve the right to dine in? The experience was so disappointing. If I could, I’d give them zero stars. I’m never going back. To top it off, after finishing my meal, I left a $0 tip. Honestly, they didn’t...
Read moreThe lower rating was mostly impacted by the service that we received.
We ordered various beef noodles and added eggs and extra protein to some of them.
Overall the food tasted good, my parents really liked the soup and the noodles were cooked well. The noodle portion size was good but the meat portions weren’t consistent. I had an OK amount of beef in mine but my dad had less. A little pricier than what I’d expect for what we got but nothing crazy. Expect to pay between $15-$25 for a bowl ($15 is the most basic without and egg).
In terms of service - no one was rude and some of them were quite friendly but we didn’t receive any napkins or utensils after we got our food and we had to ask twice. We also had to request water for the table whereas some other tables got it right when they sat down so it’s kind of inconsistent. The table beside us, one person got their bowl 10-15 min before their partner. They either need a better workflow or an additional staff member.
Our table was also really close to the other ones and my parents had to keep scooting up so they could walk by, so customers on either side had to squish up against the tables each time. We ended up moving our table closer to us on the wall side to...
