Immature, dishonest, and disrespectful are just a few words that come to mind when I think of my first time experience with iftekhar at Lahori flame. Ifthekar decided it would be honorable to deceive his clients who are fasting during the month of Ramadan by not serving the food that was mentioned on the brochure and making adjustments as he felt fit without any communication with the clients. As if that wasn’t ridiculous enough.. he also decided it would be wise to adamantly defended his lack of integrity by being an unprofessional and inhospitable. He clearly felt that screaming/arguing with his clients instead of correcting his wrongs was the right decision. Instead of extending a compassionate and understanding ear or just taking a minute to listen to the clients disappointment, he immediately interrupted and rudely spoke over others far more. I am in disbelief that a man of his age thought it was okay to act like an underdeveloped teenager by dismissing and labelling our dissatisfaction and disappointment (for not receiving the food that was highlighted on the ‘menu’) as unacceptable and invalid. Need I add more?
Hello ifthekhar, for the record… not only were you displaying how insecure you are to accept your mistakes, you were also very proud to share how little you care about reviews from clients who went out of their way to give your restaurant a try. Here’s the review you should gladly and proudly overlook. For the record, I am not ‘sorry to say’ any of this. What an absolute disgrace of a place and person.
Folks, Save your hard earned dollar and go spend it at ‘Open Mic Cafe’… you’ll get far more variety for $25 and hopefully a much kinder, hospitable, and considerate environment. I love to support my community that knows how to respect their own people.
P.s the quality of the food was not worth $30 either. Truly I have no idea what he was so adamantly defending. He went onto to suggest we should’ve asked for the items that were not provided. The audacity is laughable. Two families tried to explain politely why they were upset and that they wanted a small compensation for the lack of items that were provided to them. It really wasn’t a big ask for someone who understands and values customer service and professionalism. But that’s not something we can expect out of iftekhar any time soon based on our real time experience. Truly what a shame, but nothing out of the ordinary. As community we have so much work to do. Perhaps, my candid review and thoughts of ifthekhar help bring perspective and change in the right direction. Cannot respect a man who was blatantly comfortable disrespecting and dismissing two different families who voiced the exact same concern and...
Read morePoor quality aweful and tasteless food. Unimpressive low class environment. We had extremely disgusting experience and still regret why did we even go to this cheap place. We recently visited this useless place on a Saturday at 6 pm. We ordered chicken seekh kabab, Peshawari karahi, Butter chicken, and Biryani. We placed the order and made the payment and the server never uttered a word that some menu items we ordered were not available. When we got seated, in five minutes the server comes and informed they don't have chicken seekh kabab, instead they have chicken thigh boti not breast boti. We dont like thigh meat but had no other choice. Then the server said they don't have Peshawari karahi. Ok we said get chicken karahi. Then after 5 minutes comes back and says they don't have Biryani.. instead she can get us Pulao. Can you believe out of 4 items we ordered from their menu they didn't have 3 dishes. The restaurant was not even busy. Two of us wanted to leave and two just wanted to be nice and just try what they have as we already paid in advance. The food tasted horrible, even the portions were very small. The chicken boti was of thigh meat with lumps of thick fat in it. The so called Pulao was like zeera masala added to white rice. It absolutely did not taste like pulao, and had tiny small chicken bone pieces in every bite. The karahi never tasted like karahi, it had some awful curry taste. They had no shame to even apologise for such service. Worst experience ever, NEVER EVER will we enter this...
Read moreI came to this restaurant in the morning & there was a guy on the counter standing then a girl from the kitchen came in too at the counter. I am on a roadtrip so I said I’d like breakfast items like aaloo paratha & also since I’m on a road trip I thought to myself I’ll take a couple more items from the menu to eat later as I’ll drive for 10 hours. I asked if they’ve chicken rolls to which the guy said there’s no bbq item I understand it’s breakfast time so I proceeded to order a couple items from the menu on which the girl on the counter started gossiping & laughing with the guy for me ordering so much food She started pointing out to me to with one more girl who also came from the restaurant kitchen inside & started laughing at my order. They kept on smiling excessively with eachother & gossiping! Anyway I ignored that attitude but I was extremely uncomfortable. I paid for the order & sat on the table. 45 mins had passed and no one gave me anything, other people were getting served right away. To which I went to the counter again & said I’ll take everything takeaway even the items I ordered for breakfast to sit & eat as I was so uncomfortable sitting there to look at their faces at the counter. Also I realized they made me wait intentionally. Very frustrating & disrespectful
I never would come back again at this place! Very rude staff & extremely disrespectful girls at the counter. I do not know who hired you when you do not know the meaning of...
