The food tasted mid imo.
Went in today to just get a mixed shawarma on rocks for dinner. the cashier asked if I wanted a large and I ask how much and he said “$15” obviously a bit much but I was hungry so i agreed.
then when he rung me up he said $19, I asked “after tax??” he said yes… $15 + 13% ontario tax = $16.95… I didn’t get anything extra, no drinks no combos.
Whatever I paid again because I was hungry, waited in the store for a really long time because they decided to prioritize uber orders that came in after my order, but it’s okay I understand.
While they were cooking the food I can visibly see the worker’s hair and it want even groomed looked like a complete mess, he was not wearing a hair net either which is a violation of SFCR code 76 where anyone working with food must wear a proper hairnet for sanitary conditions. This ruined my appetite but it’s fine…
He finally brings my order and says “Large Beef shawarma…” I think i was just shocked in the moment because I didn’t say anything. I was just dumbfounded and I couldn’t believe that even though I said multiple times “Mixed” and he still gave me full beef.
The store is small, no air conditioning so it felt really really hot, and I overall did not get any middle eastern vibes at all.
Overall terrible experience will buy my...
Read moreI don’t even know where to begin. I hadn’t touched Lazeez in almost 3 years and now I remember why. Eating here again felt like a personal attack on my digestive system. The food? An abomination. I’ve had gas station sandwiches with more flavour and dignity than whatever they served me.
I took two bites and instantly questioned every life decision that led me to this moment. I wouldn’t feed this to my worst enemy. I wouldn’t feed this to a raccoon. I wouldn’t even leave it out for the garbage to smell. It was that bad.
The service? Like being ignored in slow motion. One of the staff looked at me like I interrupted his nap just by walking in. Zero energy, zero care — I felt like I was burdening them by ordering food from their food establishment.
And the atmosphere? Horrific. Sticky tables, sketchy smells, loud fridge humming like it was possessed — I was waiting for a rat to come out and slap the plate out of my hands like, “Don’t do it, bro.”
This wasn’t just a bad meal. This was a trauma. I left that place with hunger still in my stomach and regret in my soul. If you’re thinking of trying Lazeez, do yourself a favour: chew your shoelaces instead. It’ll taste better, and you won’t need...
Read moreLet me share the best experience of my life. Good people still exists.
I went there today at around 1:45 am. I placed my order and went to washroom. The time I returned I noticed a senior citizen at this time of night picking up some order for some online food delivery. As a courtesy I asked the staff there to get him a soft drink as a feel good for his service and effort at this time of night for which I agreed to pay along with my bill. He did exactly as I asked without disclosing my name. Impressed with my gesture, the owner offered my bill to be free and didn't charged me even after I insisted him a couple of times.
In the end it's not about free food, it's about the service and respect you receive along with good food. Now onwards this is the only shawarma place I got to visit. I owe them a big time. And yes their food is as good and as fresh as their intentions. Loved it man. Keep it up....
