Very weird experience went in on Family day..first time ever I saw all the tables were full of customers but no food at anyone's table..we were sitting for 45 mins and nothing arrived no starter, no soup n of course no mains, there were tables that were occupied prior to us and they too were just waiting for their orders..the kitchen staff were not communicating to the front end staff and in turn we the customers weren't getting any message..we then approached the front office staff to find out what's happening..the kitchen had run out of most of the items then why make us wait? Just tell us or stop taking orders..this place really needs better management in the kitchen and communication needs to be better..
Update: we went to give it another try and went for the weekend buffet on Saturday afternoon which was 23.99 per person (although I think the prices were increased coz I see 2 weeks back some people said it's $15 for buffet) anyways we were happy with the South Indian buffet, not a very large spread but decent variety and food was fresh and tasty..I do however see there are people who went in the evening same day have posted empty containers and half the items we had are not even there for them..it's sad..I honestly don't understand why this place is so mismanaged..I think kitchen is understaffed and owner is least concerned of the service or happiness of their customers..I mean if this continues you won't have any customers coming to you at all. I liked the buffet food but till you guys don't fix your issue and remove the scare I have in my mind while visiting of whether or not I'll get food irrespective of what time I arrive at this restaurant that'd be when I increase the stars.
Further update: 3 time's a charm, but here 3rd time was disaster yet again. They've completely changed their menu..they now barely sell any Kerala specialties..they've added North Indian, Pakistani, Tibetan food to their menu making no sense at all..mocktails are priced at $10..really terrible quality of food and drink..thank you for convincing me there is no hope in your restaurant. This was my last ever attempt...
Read moreStumbled upon this place randomly while out for a drive. Walking in, I was thoroughly impressed by the elegant and modern decor. The menu seemed to have a wide range of items so I was excited. Our appetizer was wrong but came promptly. The next dish came, without any rice or bread to eat it with. By the time they arrived, the curry had gone cold and I had to ask them to reheat. I didn't think too much of it, wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and assumed they were understaffed in the back. But after a total 30 minute wait, my partners dish still had not arrived. I also want to note that the restaurant was not busy at this time. He ended up canceling his dish and shared with me. The temperature in the restaurant was also very cold (I wore my coat the whole time and I noticed other patrons did too). This, along with the insanely long wait times btwn each dish, made all the food cold. Overall, we were served a cold, interrupted, and incomplete meal. Before commenting, I read other reviews as well and I am appalled by the owner's responses. You are not winning anyone over by being rude and sarcastic. You might wanna learn a thing or two about customer service before running a business. Even if you take the time to look at owner's responses on other businesses, you'll notice that they actually know how to apologize and offer a better experience for the customer next time. But your attitude here just leaves people with a bad taste in their mouth, and it's also quite laughable and pathetic coming from someone offering...
Read moreI recently had my wedding reception at Le Kochi and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We had an intimate gathering of 17 people, despite being promised top-notch service, including basic amenities like water jugs on each table, the service fell far short of expectations.
There was no server assigned to us, which left our guests unattended. We had to repeatedly ask for basic things like water, and even then, it was not adequately provided. At one point, juice was spilled on the floor, and despite requesting multiple times for it to be cleaned, no one attended to it. This lack of attention to detail and basic service was unacceptable, especially considering this was a special occasion for us.
To make matters worse, we were charged for 20 people despite only having 17 guests. When I reached out to the manager, Anam, to discuss the discrepancies and the poor service, I was told they needed to review CCTV footage and discuss with management. After two weeks of waiting, I was informed that they couldn't refund the difference neither they could review CCTV footage.
The overall experience left a sour taste, and the service did not even meet the bare minimum expectations. I would not recommend this restaurant for any event, especially one as important as a wedding reception. It's not just about the money, but the lack of promised...
