Mr. Puffs — Restaurant in Mississauga

Located near Dundas and Dixie next to the Mobilia store, Mr. Puffs is a delicious store that offers a unique treat that will have you wanting more! In a nutshell, they feel like upgraded Timbits but fluffier and absolutely tastier. Definitely, a crowd-pleaser for any potluck or party to bring desserts to!

Mr. Puffs is known for the signature puffs which are made from yeast-based dough, free from dairy, eggs, peanuts, soy, and preservatives. It's great to know that they accommodate various dietary preferences and restrictions as you can order vegan-friendly options. The menu at Mr. Puffs is quite extensive, offering more than just their famous puffs. You can also order their Tornadoes, Milkshakes, Drinks, Coffees, Teas, Iced Drinks, and Ice Cream.

During our visit, we enjoyed trying the Hazelnut Biscotti, Chocolate Hazelnut, and Cappuccino flavours. Each puff was a mouthwatering delight. It was so hard to pick a favourite among the choices, as they were all so delicious with some texture differences from the toppings. With 13 flavours available, you will have a hard time deciding! While there might be a short wait in line, it was quite worth it. The service at Mr. Puffs is efficient, and the staff members handle the order intake smoothly. They kindly ask you which flavours you'd like, and then write them on the box along with your name. Their puff quantity options come in a puffs bouquet or boxes of 12 puffs, 30 puffs, 50 puffs and even up to 65 puffs...

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this Mr. Puffs location. The wait time was unreasonable, with only two employees managing the entire store—one in the kitchen and one taking orders and serving customers. While understaffing can sometimes be excused, the real issue lies in the quality of the product.

I ordered a Choco Loco with 12 puffs and specifically requested extra chocolate as a chocolate lover. To my disappointment, there was barely any extra chocolate seen at all—it felt like my request was not completely taken care of.

Worse still, the puffs were extremely hard and almost impossible to chew. They were so tough that they caused rashes and abrasions inside my mouth. Eating them was not just unpleasant; it was painful.

In comparison, other branch locations of Mr. Puffs consistently deliver fresh, soft, and perfectly fried puffs. It’s clear this location is either cutting corners or lacks the skills to meet the brand’s standards.

This branch not only failed to meet expectations but also raised serious concerns about quality control and customer care. I strongly urge management to address these glaring issues or reconsider whether this location should continue operating under the Mr. Puffs brand name.

I am always blown away every time I visit this place. Since they have opened, I have been a regular customer for over 4 months. However, I believe the hardworking staff need to realize that customers will not wait forever for their ice cream or pastries. I didn't want to take photos of the waiting customers, but there were two customers waiting to order in front of me. The boxes on the top counter indicated they were busy preparing orders. I waited for more than 15 minutes to order and was then told I would have to wait another 20 minutes for my order. At that point, I decided to leave. What they did is made us wait for a batch of Puffs and later on completing the previous orders knowing that the complete fried batch will be done and 3 staff working on the same thing, and than starts dropping another batch of puffs in the fryer and taking new orders.( you could have left the staff prepare previous orders by the time you are dropping a new batch of Puffs, this way the wait time is less).
