Went there last night for the first time. Waited at the entrance to be served by a host. Waited 10 minutes. No one even acknowledged. Finally walked up to the cashier and was advised that I would have to make a reservation. Explain to them that the place being so small.l, I'm sure every employee including wait staff saw me standing at the door and yet nobody acknowledged until I actually physically walked up to them. Wait staff, have no customer service skills, the place is so busy and I understand they need to move quick, but service is a key element to dining.
I was asked to scan the QR code with my phone and to place an order (As the food takes at least 40 to 45 minutes to prepare )while I waited for a table to be available with 25 minutes.
Ordered a family barbecue grilled platter with Bihari kabab including buttered Naan.
Food arrived and realize that naans were not buttered. Took 10 minutes to get another wait staff cuz ours kept saying she'll come back when I would make eye contact. No apologies, nothing. Simply ran to the kitchen and came out within 10 seconds with grease stripping on the naan.
The food was so so. Nothing spectacular.
Lastly, dessert! My kids noticed that their paper mats had a QR code that mentioned if they followed the restaurant and posted the restaurant on IG and or Facebook, they would receive a free dessert, I again had to call the waitress and asked if the kids could have their free dessert as they were following the restaurants. She quickly mentioned side that was no longer offered. I kind of laughed and said then you should remove it off your paper. Placemats.
My wife and I were talking to one another about how horrible the service is, especially their promotion on their free dessert..and not honoring etc. ... I guess there was a waitress behind me who heard our conversation as a few minutes later our waitress came by and said she would honor the dessert and bring the dessert for the kids. She brought one bowl with two spoons and two gulab jamun. What happened to dessert per child? Lol.
Not a place. I will visit again. Owner, train your wait staff to be more friendly, to be more sincere and to acknowledge patrons. If you think we're fools and because you're so busy and making a ton of money now, sooner or later this behavior And false advertising Will catch up. It's not going to win you any points or bring...

Rating: ⭐⭐
I recently dined at this restaurant, and my experience was a rollercoaster of emotions. While the food was undeniably amazing, the service left much to be desired.
Let's start with the positive: the culinary offerings were exceptional. The chef deserves a standing ovation for the delectable dishes that were served. Each bite was a burst of flavor and creativity, showcasing their culinary expertise.
However, the service was an unfortunate letdown. From the moment I entered, there was no one to greet me or guide me to my table. I had to find my way around and locate my reserved table on my own. The absence of a physical menu was an unexpected surprise; instead, a QR code was provided for browsing the menu. While this may be a modern approach, it lacked the personal touch that a traditional menu provides.
The nightmare continued as the service unfolded. There were approximately 3-4 waiters on the floor, but their etiquette was utterly lacking. Not a single one greeted me or my fellow diners, and zero follow-up occurred after our initial order. The lack of attention was palpable, as we had to make the effort to track down a server to take additional orders.
The pricing of the food was on the higher side, which could be acceptable given the quality, but a lack of transparency marred this aspect. I was never informed that the platter came with Naan, and a server suggested I order more. This miscommunication left a sour taste in my mouth, pun intended.
The tipping point was the 12-15% gratuity automatically added for parties of 8 or more. Given the subpar service, I found it hard to justify this additional charge. I chose to refuse the gratuity, as it was undoubtedly undeserved in light of the experience we endured.
In conclusion, while the food was unquestionably a highlight and a testament to the chef's skill, the overall experience was marred by horrendous service. The lack of greetings, poor etiquette, and the burden of managing orders overshadowed the culinary brilliance. The addition of an unearned gratuity only added to the disappointment. Despite the fantastic flavors, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant due to the overwhelmingly negative...
Read moreI really enjoyed MyKolachi at Dixie, Mississauga. This did not meet our expectation. I really hope the management reads the comments and do best to improve service. I have been a keen foodie in Toronto and currently work in hospitality industry so my comments will be details as possible. #1 Store is designed well with good decore. However, the floors were not mopped and the washrooms were dirty as well. #2 The ambience gives an impression that it's an upscale but there is no host or server to seat the guests. We also had to wait more than 15 mins for our server to show up with the menu. #3 The menu QR should be permanently placed on the table if you are going touchless, please don't pass printed QR from customer to customer. #4 Order execution - in my opinion the restaurant failed the order execution. The order to meal time was almost 40 mins. Anything more than 20 mins is generally not good. There was no greeting by server, no up selling, no menu recommendation, no water on the table when server shows up, no asking for drinks, no follow up on the table and after the meal. The rice (ordered separately) were served after we finished the meal. #5 The food was mediocre to low quality. This is a Pakistani restaurant. There is an Urdu phrase "Unnchi dokan pheeka pakwan (high end store but bad cook)". This phrase fit well. My comments are genuine concerns expressed honestly with intend that the owner reads them and correct the quality. We ordered family platter for 3-4 people. It came with kabobs, raita, chatni and naan only. The kabobs had too much papaya and were not cooked completely. Chicken tikka was dry. Rice were stale. The kabobs had too much spices for the kids. The server knew we can with small kids, but the server never warned us of the spices. The platter was missing salad (onions...
