Paramount Fine Foods — Restaurant in Mississauga

I rarely give one star to a business/restaurant but it’s one of those rare times. It’s Wednesday July 13th 9:14pm. The guy who makes the orders on the front and calls the order numbers to be picked up is very very rude if someone talked to him or asked if the order is ready, he will literally yell and start waving his arms while yelling! Then on my personal issue : I was observing him making 4-5 wraps and placing them in the grill together and I was like : wow there’s NO WAY this guy will remember which wrap is for which order!! Then to my surprise here’s my order’s turn (I can tell because he literally called the order before me that time) I specifically requested only few toppings: No Tahini, no turnips, no onion. ONLY garlic sauce, tomatoes and lettuce. Then I can only see him putting turnips to my wrap!! He called me order # and I told him : you put turnips to my wrap and I never asked for it! He gave me a dirty look and went back to the next orders! What if he puts something to someone’s order and that person is allergic to that thing and asked not to put!!!? I think his strategy is : “those ppl are hungry and about to board! What will they do or say if their orders aren’t exactly what they asked for! And it’s probably working well for him because I myself didn’t bother to insist and ask for another wrap instead ! I already waited more than 30 mins to get my inaccurate order! I can’t afford to wait more or else I will miss my...

Salty salty salty, small portions, bland, and generally a disappointment.

My partner and I have gone out to other locations which have always been good experiences. (Yonge, Yorkdale to name a couple)

My partner typically orders the tabule salad with shawarma chicken on top. She was given an unimpressive plastic container, which was small in size, and smaller in its actual content. Which is unusual for this chain as the salads have always come in a large container. The chicken was rubbery. not to mention the extra 5.99 for the privilege of having a few pieces of chicken sprinkled on top. For that price, we couldn’t help but to feel robbed.

I ordered the Kafta. The rice was over cooked and bland. Two pieces of pickled turnip and 4 small pieces of pickle made me laugh at their attempt. And the beef. The meal comes with two pieces of meat. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I couldn’t eat both because of how salty they were, adding to the fact that they were burnt.

I get airport food by and large is lower quality. You can’t expect to eat gourmet foods, and you’re going to be gauged for prices. It’s what it is... but this was more than that. This has to be by far the most unpleasant meal I’ve paid over $5. The bill ran us just over $40. This particular location should be stripped of its franchise status for its abuse...

A sad excuse of a shawarma wrap. With 3 pieces of tiny chicken meat and the rest was all lettuce. When placing the order the lady said we will just put these three ingredients in the shawarma "ok". Once I went to the counter I saw distracted employees, one drinking and eating Tim's second talking to him..Asked the Filipino lady who was distracted talking to her colleague if she can add hummus to which it was a resounding No. There is a clear reason why Paramount is at the bottom of the chain when it comes to ME food now. I used to take my entire family evwry week when it's first location opened in mississauga. Now I haven't had it for 5 years. Today because I was hungry and needed halal food went there. Dissapointed and disgusted from the food to the service to the non existent freshness and unclean tables for people to eat in. Cleaned it myself. You really think you can compete with Al Zaeem, Lezzet, Sumaq and other fine ME spots?. Close down this pathetic restaurant in Pearson and give it to one of these guys..

P.S: Paramount keep ur generic bs email to urself. Ripping off people with this sad branch. You were blessed in the beginning but now it seems like only money is ur motivation. Ur lucky there is no other halal spot at the airport otherwise u would be empty just like ur restaurants...
