My son and I went to have a drink and meal between flights on April 19th, 2025 around 2:00pm. I ordered him a mocktail, a virgin Caesar. The bottom of the glass FELL OUT as he lifted it spilling the tomato juice from the full drink all over his white hoodie and jeans, all over our table, the floor, iPhones and luggage. The 2 girls waiting on us didnāt even say sorry! They came over with a napkin, wiped the ice onto the floor as we were cleaning ourselves up, and then one of them said, āthatās really strange how that happened eh?ā After she removed the glass that was in 2 pieces. He went to change completely and put his tomato stained clothing into our luggage. His college hoodie is ruined. There was NO complimentary drink, meal, apology, nothing. No complimentary dessert, no visit from a manager to apologize. We ate and left without a tip, paying only the full price of our meal. The lack of awareness OR good customer service! What were we to do in an airport?? What about the cost of cleaning these clothes? I might be old school at 48, but this particular Volo Vino suffers from a lack of connection to the public....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI do try to be as honest with my reviews as I can. Unfortunately this one is very negative. This airport restaurant touts itself as gourmet, but what we experienced was far from it. Aside from the jazz playing in the background the tables were not bussed and the focus of the servers appeared to be the bar. Since we were more interested in the food we can focus on that. My wife ordered a goat cheese salad and I ordered a Chili. Her salad was nothing more than finely cut lettuce with goat cheese on top. My chili was no more than a ladle full in a bowl with four thin slices of hard, stale french bread. We ate and paid $14 for mine and $8 for her salad. Although $8 was fair enough for her portion $14 was robbery for mine. After paying we went over to the nearby Subway and bought a typically good sandwich from them. It's too bad I cannot post pictures I took of this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTL:DR: takes forever (45mins) to make a bruschetta, a bad look for an airport spot.
I was served by a gentleman named Saad who in himself was nice enough. We settled into our seats just under an hour prior to boarding our plane, within view of our gate.
We got given water and menus and ordered all within 5 minutes, a couple drinks and a bruschetta. When we were checked on 20 minutes later we asked if the food would be much longer as we were hungry. We were told it was 'almost ready'. I asked to pay so we'd be ready to go when necessary. After we paid we waited another 15 minutes before inquiring after the food again. 'Next thing out the kitchen'. After another 10 minutes, and seeing several more orders come out, we heard our plane start boarding.
We left, instructing the team to pass it on to a gentleman who had just arrived. You'll have to ask him how...
