The new hidden gem of Streetsville dining Tucked in the parking lot and sharing the charming building behind Streetsvilleâs tattoo parlour, is this tiny new wine bar and restaurant. Open from 4 pm, Thursdays through Sundays it seems to be starting out right with a small selection of meal choices, appetizers, salads and a unique wine list. We shared one of three charcuterie boards with a flight of four wines chosen for us by the young, exuberant wine hostess who was more than happy to chat with us about her experiences with a BC winery. The charcuterie board was the inventive choice of the three, including bone marrow, duck hearts, a smoked Gouda and homemade jam and pickles and condiments. Sandraâs meal was a homemade gnocchi with wild boar while I had the duck breast again with homemade pickles and wild rice and vegetable purĂ©e. The menu selection is small which to me means fresh, rather than the typical frozen entrĂ©es found in places with huge selections but there is a chicken, steak, pasta meal along with salads with protein available. This place would be a natural for after work drinks and apps or an intimate dinner on the year-round patio or in the pub-like interior. An inventive chef, a wine hostess and a young server ensured slick, friendly, personal service. The prices reflect the reality of post-pandemic dining but Nox promises an experience, food and wine that you wonât find at other Mississauga restos. With whispers of a Sunday brunch menu and the addition of a fish entrĂ©e and daily specials, this place could soon become the hidden gem of...
Read moreNox was a lucky find for us. While itâs been open since 2023, itâs really hidden behind a tattoo shop so youâre not likely to find it unless you already know about it.
Weâve dined here several times over the past few months, including a mid-week date night.
The inside part is tiny and somewhat dark, but thereâs a larger patio out back thatâs very well sheltered from the elements, so even on cold days youâll be comfortable. All summer, the restaurant's patio is very pretty, surrounded by greenery & flowers.
Nox's staff have really figured out everything - superb and friendly service, delicious food, great ambiance, and a carefully curated wine list.
The menu seems to change weekly, so there's always something new and interesting to try.
The staff are really knowledgeable about their wines, and itâs definitely worth getting a flight of 4 different wines to try. Hereâs a little secret - after 8pm any glass poured from an already-opened bottle will be 50% off their normal prices.
All of the food here is excellent. Weâve tried a large charcuterie board, appetizers, mains, and have always been very happy with the quality of the food.
Definitely will...
