I've been wanting to try Roc N Docs for a while now because they are the only patio in Port Credit that has a rooftop patio and I had heard such amazing reviews about this restaurant. Unfortunately, Roc N Docs was not as good as what I had expected. To start, they had 3 tables near the window which overlooked the street, two of which were occupied and one had been reserved for the owner and his friends which did not make sense as customers who visit Roc N Docs go there to have a nice view while they dine. So that was disappointing. Secondly, I had ordered the mozzarella sticks and the coleslaw that came with them looked like it had been out for quite sometime. Furthermore, the waiter did not give me any utensils until after he cleared our plate from the mozzarella sticks so even if I wanted to eat the coleslaw I could not. Thirdly, I ordered a Hard Seltzer which came in a can and the waiter had also brought me a glass with ice so I could drink from the glass as opposed to the can. When I poured my drink, there were little black flakes floating around which I assumed came from the actual glass itself or the ice. It was not too appetizing. Lastly, I ordered the chicken tacos which were not too bad but they were filled mostly with lettuce and had very little chicken in them. Therefore, it was not worth the price whatsoever. Sadly, this will most probably be my first and last time I dine at Roc N Docs. It seems like an okay restaurant, but there are plenty of other restaurants to spend your money at in...
Read moreUnfortunately, it was not a good experience. The moment we arrived I noticed that there were alot of tables ahead of us that were waiting on food.
We ordered our drinks in a timely manner. I ordered the Hop Valley IPA which in my opinion, after working in and around beer for 10 years, the beer was flat. I chose not to say anything and continued enjoying my roof top patio experience.
We waited and waited and waited. We were offered another drink about an hour after getting to the restaurant, once our drinks were empty.
We noticed the couple who arrived approximately 15 minutes after us asked the server for the bill as they still had not received their food either after waiting 45 minutes.
Our food finally arrived and the server apologized for the wait. We dug in as of course by now we were starving. My boyfriend realized he didn't recieve his sauce on the side, his wings didn't come with the side of fries they were meant to come with, the batter of my fish and chips was not fully cooked, I was missing the coleslaw and I did not recieve my side caesar salad and instead ended up with fries. Which the server informed me after bringing to her attention that the kitchen had run out of coleslaw.
At this point we made the decision to ask for our bill and leave.
The server came over and sincerely apologized and took care of our entire bill. I expected to atleast pay for something so the gesture was appreciated however we will not be returning to Roc n docs, despite enjoying the...
Read moreWe visited the rooftop patio, it is a nice space and the beers were tasty and well-priced!
Unfortunately, the food experience didn’t quite match. We were told there’d be a 30–40 minute wait as they were very busy. We understood as the patio seemed to me almost full but the inside of the restaurant was completely empty. The food took over an hour, and when it arrived, the order was partially wrong and cold. My chicken tenders had a hair in them (which when I brought it to their attention was handled politely), and a chicken wrap was brought to us that was meant to be a beef burger. The replacement burger came over 30 minutes later (1.5 hr wait for a burger) and was quite dry. At this point, our friends joined us and the patio had cleared up a bit. They ordered some food but ended up cancelling the order after a 40-minute wait as the server shared the kitchen had not started it yet. The server did warn us about a potential 30/40 minutes wait for food but when our friends had ordered the patio had cleared out quite a bit and the inside remained empty.
We remained fairly positive after all of this but were a bit confused when in the end the bill was brought to us incorrectly and more expensive than our order. The staff were kind and did apologize. I’ve worked in restaurants, so I get that things can go sideways on busy nights — just hope this feedback helps as we head into the summer as this was not a...
