Smokey Sam's Barbecue — Restaurant in Mississauga

We went here today, a table of 10 to celebrate someone specials birthday at first it was a very rocky start due to it being a full house, busy time, and some of the food items we ordered would not be coming out at the same time for all the family members after speaking with the owner They managed to come up with a Solution.

Something to keep in mind this is a food hall where three different restaurants operate under the same roof, so please expect some delay. If you are going to be ordering from all three restaurants, this is some thing of wish we knew before so we could’ve been mentally prepared and maybe fed the kids some snacks. However, Mia suggested we also order some appetizers to buy sometime and also let the kids have some snacks before the meal arrived. We went ahead with that and we are glad we did as the kids were definitely hungry.

The owner managed to get the kitchen up to speed to have all of our food items out at the same time, which I truly appreciate as if they came in would delay one after another it would not have been a family dinner for us.

We also brought a cake that we gave the kitchen and requested for it to be brought out towards the end of the meal to celebrate the birthday. The server Mia was very attentive, and made sure to remove all the dinner set up and wipe the tables down to present a clean set up for the Chai And dessert. The thing is, we did not feel rushed as we came towards the ending of the night, and we were able to spend couple of hours together as a family to celebrate the occasion

Ordered food for takeout prior to a flight. So I confirmed with them the time for pick up of 5pm. Knowing I had to leave around 530. I get to the restaurant at 510. And someone attempts to help me. She checks the take out order sitting behind the counter and says that's not it. And "it's probably going to be another 5 min" without looking up anything or checking anything.

Meanwhile the other server behind the counter is trying to checkout someone else's order. They're having continuous issues with taking their payment. About 10 minutes pass so I try to ask any of the servers walking by - explaining I have a flight and I don't have much time. One of them (with a headset) smiles at me and says "just give me a minute" then proceeds to talk to someone on the phone and I never hear from her again. Try to ask another server and she says she doesn't know how long it will be.

Finally the server behind the counter finishes with other customers. There's now about 5 groups of customers behind me in line waiting for a table or for takeout. I asked her for my food and turns out my order was the one sitting behind the counter waiting to be picked up the entire time (the one the first server told me that it's not the right one). It's now 530 and I have to leave for my flight and have no time to eat.

Waiting 20 minutes for a pick up order while it's ready is just ridiculous. Multiple levels of errors in service and being able to check my order.

As for food. Ribs are good, I appreciate the ability to buy a full rack. Fries are just bought in a bag and not made fresh. The sides are...

Made a first time visit here with three friends. We ordered the platter for four. When the server brought our food to our table, she first brought one platter. I asked the server where one of the menu items was and the server said she was bringing a second platter. The first platter had the smoked tandoori half chicken, the brisket, the thai mac & cheese, kettle chips, dill pickle fries, coleslaw, red cabbage and two corn bread. The second platter had the rack of bbq beef ribs, buttermilk fried chicken mac & cheese, dill pickle fries, kettle chips, pickles, bbq sauce and two corn bread. What a feast! Everything on both platters tasted great. The brisket was melt in your mouth. The beef ribs were delicious. Every item on both platters tasted great. The bbq sauce was also smoked. I ordered the smoked cherry cola. I've never had smoked cherry cola until now. It come in a bottle that you pour yourself. The smoke in the bottle was nice to see. The smoked cherry cola was perfect while enjoying the bbq feast. All three of us were full and we packed the food in take home containers. We ended the meal with great tea and the mango pie. We made sure we saved room for the mango pie. The pie was a perfect way to end the feast. Both our servers were very friendly and brought us anything we needed during our feast.
