2.5 stars: our party of 6 went for dinner at this restaurant on a Saturday evening. Restaurant was empty except for our party and a few people picking up take-out orders. This is definitely a "hole-in-the-wall" family establishment, which was fine, but we saw a sign posted which indicated that the washrooms were out of service. No idea why they hadn't been fixed yet, but we decided to have dinner there based on the reviews, and the fact that we were looking for authentic Thai dishes.

Our party of six ordered mixed meat pad thai (2 orders), spicy Thai fried rice, green curry chicken, basil beef, spicy eggplant, and mango chicken. We all like spicy food and most of the dishes we ordered had three chilli ratings beside them on the menu - which is why we ordered them. The food came out quickly and the person serving us was friendly. However, the taste of the food was not great - very bland. Most dishes were lacking spice except for the basil beef and the spicy fried rice. These two dishes were well made. I asked for chilli sauce or chilli oil, and we received chilli sauce and chopped green chillies in vinegar.

The mango chicken was definitely not well received - deep fried pieces of chicken, in a curry sauce with raw mango pieces. You could tell the chicken and mango pieces had been thrown into the sauce, not cooked with it. Do yourself a favour and don't order it. No beverages were listed on the menu, and when I asked, I was shown a fridge and told to order something that was available in the fridge. I had to get up and go over to the fridge. We found this to be a bit ridiculous, since some of us were having beer and others were having soft drinks. None of the curries or stir fries came with plain rice. A tiny serving of plain, white rice is $2. Given how much we ordered, I found this to be ridiculous as well. Who eats curries and stir fries without rice?

Will we return? Probably not - there are better options in the area. A...

My first time ordering from this place. I walk in and I’m greeted by the friendliest gentlemen you could imagine. Knowledgeable and quick, I didn’t need to repeat a single part of my order with everything coming correctly. We proceeded to have a small conversation while I waited. He tells me it’s his family owned business, with him and his wife cooking all orders themselves. He assured me my food will be fresh and to my liking. This type of outstanding customer service on a personal level is hard to come by. Oh and boy was he telling the truth.. the shrimp pad Thai I ordered was the FRESHEST I have ever tasted.. along with my spicy squid appetizer which was fried perfect golden brown and you can tell the oil is new and changed often. Amazing place, great people, would...

We just ordered 6 dishes most of which were tasty. Unfortunately the chili chicken was all batter. We called the waitress over who sent the chef. He spent 5 minutes arguing with us about how no one has complained in 15 years. We even showed him the chicken pieces and he wouldn't even look at what we were trying to show him. He insisted that this is how chili chicken is made and if we don't want batter then we should order a different type of dish next time. Instead of arguing with us, he could have offered to replace the dish with something else but he only argued the same thing over and over. It was very disappointing experience and there definitely won't be...

Making my way through the Thai restaurants in the GTA, I finally came to Jung Thai, and it was a great experience. Ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, and it was delicious. It's easily one of the best ones I've had in Mississauga. The noodles weren't gummy or stuck together. The bean sprouts were fresh and plentiful. The Tamarind sauce was nice. Good amount of chicken, and you get a bunch of peanuts on top. If the peanuts had a more roasted flavour, I would rank this place higher. But for now, it will remain as my second best place in sauga, and definitely a restaurant I'd visit again. 8.5/10.

The restaurant from outside looked shabby. However, the interior was small and tidy. The server welcomed us with a bright smile and gave us the menu. We ordered pad thai with shrimp, garlic pork and Hakka noodles with veggies. The food was prepared fast and served hot. I liked the pork as it was so tender and very nicely seasoned. The Hakka noodles had lots of crunchy vegetables and pad Thai was somewhat ok ok. The portion size was average. I will surely come next time to try other dishes and surely recommend it to others as all the dishes are priced reasonably.

Jung Thai is a hidden treasure, especially the husband and wife team who run this restaurant, very friendly and sweet! The food is amazing, very fresh and comes out to the table steaming hot! We tried the thai yellow curry, and it is probably one of the most authentic thai curries I have tried. My favorite dish however is the Spicy Seafood! The gravy is DELICIOUS and the squid, shrimp and mussel mix is cooked to perfection. We dined in, and we love the cozy and quiet interior- but we saw quite a few people come in for just take out as well.
