South St. Burger — Restaurant in Mississauga

Had wanted to try this place for years and because of coupons sitting in my car with several coupons attached we decided to pop in today. Entering the restaurant, there were dirty tables and only three tables occupied out of about 8. Nice atmosphere very modern but that's about it. Glad we had a coupon!! If you get a specialty Burger it's $2.50 more on top of the $5.95. I had the barbecue bacon burger so basically I paid $2.50 for a very thin slice of cheddar and a piece of bacon. My boyfriend had the mushroom and Swiss burger and that also did not look like it was worth the $2.50 extra. However we were given a choice of a white bun or multigrain so we went for the multigrain. Very disappointed that they just took the bun out of the plastic bag rather than grilling it or warming it up as it tasted like it was a couple of days old and not very fresh. Secondly, the burger was like shoe leather you couldn't even cut it with a fork which I experienced when I realized I did not want to eat that bun and fill up on something that wasn't good. I must say they have a great selection of toppings. My burger included guacamole which was put on the bun as if it was butter, very thin. I'm sure I could have asked for more but I just wanted to see what they do. The fries were very good, you can't go wrong with New York fries! Anyways, a long story short we left our other coupons there and during the whole time (about 40 min @ 1p.m.)not one of the two girls was out on the floor cleaning any of the tables and the man who was at the cash whether he was the manager or owner was not present after ringing in the order. For a manager/owner, you would think that he would want to make sure his place is clean and presentable at all times. The washrooms were clean and the soap was very nice. I was shopping in this area today and decided to go here with my family for a quick lunch as my kids were hungry. Let me just say that I will NEVER go back to this location! The food was very basic and definitely not worth the price, the restaurant itself looked very unkept and worst of all the service was atrocious. I ordered a kids meal, a burger combo (asked to substitute waffle fries for the regular fries) and a cheese burger. When I received my order, I realized that I also received a side of regular fries and I was charged an extra $4.50 for it. I explained my order again (in a very calm tone as my kids were also with me) and said I asked to sub the regular fries for waffle fries with the combo and I didn't ask for extra fries and so I should not be charged for that. The cashier basically yelled at me to bring it back for her in a very rude and condescending tone, even though this was her mistake. When I pointed out the error I was instead blamed for it and demanded that I return it which I had no issues doing as I didn't want it in the first place as it was too much for my family. I felt very disrespected as though as I was trying to get some free fries, are you kidding me! She disappeared in the back with it and didn't return so I'm not sure if that was reused for someone else's order. There was also a man prepping the meals who apologized and said to me "I'm sorry go enjoy your meal, I'm her husband and I will deal with her don't worry about it". I would rarely write reviews but in this case I wanted to write this so others would be aware if they do decide to visit this location. This restaurant is a hard no for me and my family...

They messed up my entire order tonight, no sauce with my sweet potato fries, my root beer tasted like turpentine and my loaded burger had only cheese.. unfortunately I didn't know about the burger until I got home because my 10 month old needed to go home so when I got home to milton to find out my dinner was ruined it was pretty disappointing.. my husband and my son were able to eat while we were there but their burgers were underwhelming and cold, the cheese wasn't even melted! The fries were also cold and there is no kids burger combo, you can either get a hot dog or dino nuggets that have been in the freezer too long. This place isn't exactly family friendly either as there was no high chairs and automatic door switch doesn't work making it difficult for people with strollers or wheelchairs.
