I went today and got two orders of salmon avocado roll, when the food arrived I ate a couple of pieces and on my third or fourth piece, I found a piece of plastic inside. I pointed out the piece of plastic to a server and he picked up the remainder of my food, a majority of which was still on the plate as I found the plastic early into the meal, he asked if I'd like to keep eating it or have some new food remade..I told him neither. He disappeared into the back for a little while and then came back a bill, informing me that I was getting a 10% discount for the plastic. I protested this, trying to be polite and explain that I barely ate the food and that I had no desire to pay nearly full price for the ruined meal. The server said he'd go back and ask if they could offer me something more substantial, I agreed, trying to give them a chance to offer something that felt genuine and meaningful like a refund considering I didn't eat a majority of the food.. instead he came back and offered 20% off. Upon being offered 20% off I explained why I didn't think it was that fair, and it took the server up til that point to tell me that the plastic was actually a fish scale, making excuses for why it couldn't have been plastic.. myself and the person I was dining with both took a look at it before sending it back and concluded it was most definitely plastic. I pressed the server on why he'd waited so long to inform me it was a fish scale and asked why they wouldn't have brought the food back to me initially to explain it was all good afterall..I didn't receive much of a response to this. I begrudgingly paid the $12 and change using a $20 bill, and was asked if I expected change after all that. I am not impressed, I am not a difficult person..if it were a scale I'd have not even said a word, I'm a bit flabbergasted at the way this...
Read moreGreat staff very hospitable. Some of the Chefs" presentation was good..Selection of some items were surprising amature type. Quality food was fresh except for few items not sure about. First time for two out of the four people we joined for dinner voted not to return. Menu selection looked great. But some of the favourite items unfortunately did not pass .. eg. seaweed salad ,fried calamari, short rib and beef on the stick were unedibe. For the only reason the Taste. Some people described it like that authentic Chinese food eg. that odor when you pass by the Chinese market where they have the ducks hanging . Ya that smell. We were kind of shocked and so disappointed Because these were favourites.. Forgive us to the owners but it became a waste of food. Such ashame for a beautiful place. Hard working staff busy and prompt in delivering. Fantastic .Unfortunately Chefs in the Kitchen missed alot of the items we ordered eg. a few appetizers, soups. salads coffee water did not arrive to our table. When asking for things like extra napkin, water, a refill, where is my order for etc..interrupted the hard working staff. Plating was strange. When ordering 6 pieces of an item received two pieces on long rectangular dishes. Which should be all 6 on a plate . Wasted space on a small table for 4 people. It seemed chaotic awkward.. Loved the sushi, sashimi .Not sure why no ginger on the side along with wasabi. . Escargot dish was great but needed more bread slices to sop up the flavoured juice. Felt it was wasted there was not enough bread slices to finish the dish..Overall great place to meet. Chefs need to work on perfecting every dish. Some thought it was way over priced for type and quantity. Giving a "Thank you" from those who appreciated the...
Read moreSo I had to remove my 5 star review. I understand the prices have rose up. Of course due to everything. But I brought in cash and you get a discount when you pay cash which is fine. They lady with the purple hair declined my bill due to a a quarter piece of it being missing. I went to the bank after as the lady said they can’t accept it so we paid by card for one sushi burrito that ended up being $18. The bank tells me they shouldn’t have declined it due to the main parts of the bill being intact. I ended up paying $3 extra dollars for something that is worth possible $13 dollars or should’ve just be $15 anyways with or without paying cash. The purple hair lady said also that she would’ve been fired if she accepted the cash from the owner/manager. Mind you it’s not a private one store business. There are other spoon and forks. I love the food but if they can’t accept cash because of it not being 100% intact even though the main parts are that are acceptable the way it was, then it’s just an excuse from the owner/manager or the lady. My friend who I had brought originally there, told me after that the lady was being ridiculous as he has his own private business and even with spoon and fork as being a well known chain of other businesses they will have to put it towards the bank either way (which even the lady said herself that they won’t accept through there business) so if you are putting through the bank anyways then why did she tell me to go to the bank? I went there myself with a business partner they accept whether you are well known business or not as long as it’s not fake or cut in half. My bill was intact just a quarter chipped of the corner of the bill. Sadly last time going here. Ridiculous. I’m glad I went to the bank to confirm...
