It is sad and pathetic, but I am absolutely not sorry for the deterioration of dining experience of this long standing establishment. Integrity is the key in this business however the owner values none of it, and it was evidently demonstrated during my latest and eventual visit to this once successful business.
I would begin to urge your awareness in pricing misrepresentation on the menu. They used old menus at the table, but failed to display the updated prices nor indicated menu contained old prices. This tactic had been witnessed at multiple occasions at this I Love Pho 2 location. When the staff was engaged about the discrepancy in prices, they always commented that either they lost the iPad for ordering or they didn’t changed the price yet on menu. Please note, prices on menu are approximately 20% understated. I encourage the store to post a clarification online for the rationales of they misleading tactic, else this matter will consequently be escalated to the Better Business Bureau (“BBB”) for review and follow up.
FYI, when staff was asked about why prices appeared higher on the actual bill than in the menu, they would assign blames on the customer for not asking them for the updated prices when ordering. Please don’t insult your own intelligence, and thank you for your great...
Read moreI dined in and tried their 'pho suon bo' - beef back rib with rice noodle soup (labelled as "ribs backbone with rice noodle soup" - item #200) for the 1st time today (late afternoon on Sept 3rd, 2024).
The backbone rib was slightly tough to chew but was still easy enough to remove from the bone. I do wish that it was more tender/fell off the bone. However, since it only came in a large size, it was still worth the price ($18.95).
It's not often where you can find an authentic pho restaurant in Peel region that serves beef back ribs for under $20, let alone being given a bountiful amount of protein with pho (my order came with 2 backbone ribs and 1 boneless rib). The broth was tasty and flavourful and I also got the deep-fried spring rolls (item #101). The spring rolls had a light and crispy shell without being too oily and had a good amount of pork x shrimp filling.
Service was efficient and reasonable. I did, however, notice a couple of fruit flies flying above in my seating area (soft seating booth closer to the cashier area). It was a bit of a nuisance, but at least they didn't go into my food/tea even though they tried. Other than that, this place is worth giving a shot if you're ever craving for authentic pho or if you're really hungry and just want to savour...
Read moreLocated in a plaza near Dundas and Dixie in Mississauga. We dined with 4 adults, quickly seated on a weekday evening. Place was clean and offered lots of seating and a couple of tv monitors on the wall for watching.
The menu is on a tablet given by the server. Hot tea was free and offered unlimited refills if you finish the pot. Tea was delicious and hot.
We ordered the broken rice with chicken and steamed egg, broken rice with pork chop, fried egg, and bean curd, broken rice with porkchop and chicken, and vermicelli with spring roll and chicken. The rice orders come with a broth soup.
I had the broken rice with porkchop, fried egg, and bean curd. The rice was tasty, porkchop was flavourful with Lemongrass and with fried egg on the side along with lettuce and Carrots.i was satisfied and full from my meal. The broth was salty, but not in a bad way.
Everyone also appeared to enjoy their meals and there were no complaints. The portions are quite big. The pricing is fair, considering inflation.
I have gone to this pho place a few times in the past and have never been disappointed. The only thing is the server didn't come as often and have to flag down when you...
