Today at 1:14:35 pm we ordered sub from subway at Goreway location. A young Indian female employee took our order. She was very friendly and had great customer experience. The food was delicious and was made as we ordered.
However, as we sat down to eat the sub we encountered a scenario where the older Indian woman who was also working that day started yelling at the young female Indian worker and discouraged her. The young Indian girl had a doubt and was asking her formal employee for help however the older woman responded very rudely and made personal attacks regarding her pay rate. The older Indian woman stated ā I get $14 per hour and you also get $14 per hour, therefore you should know everything stated the older woman. You should know everything by nowā. The older Indian woman stated to the young Indian girl ā you started work in November and you should know everything by now(January)ā
As a worker and as a new employee, we have the right to ask several questions when in doubt, unsure or have any concern. Being an older employee with experience , itās their job to teach the new employee job duties whenever in doubt rather than scolding and discouraging them.
I want to bring this concern to the managementās attention because employee are not being treated respectfully, wherein new employees are being subjected to power and dominance by older employee. Hence, appropriate action...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've only been to this Subway location a couple of times before. I guess either the ownership has changed or there are new untrained employees. I ordered a foot long Veggie Delite on Italian bread, the preparation was fine. I asked Navneet (the employee) to please use a clean knife to cut the sub and she proceeds to cut the sub without washing the knife. I kindly said to her, "i just asked for the sun to be cut with a clean knife" and she replies by saying, "it's clean i washed it before." I could clearly see there was some sort of residue on the knife and it was not clean. I then said to her, you were supposed to wash it regardless; again she repeats what she said earlier but this time with bitter attitude, "it's clean i washed it before." I didn't argue or anything and she kept insisting she was correct and didn't bother at all to admit it was her mistake. There after i asked for the managers number and she gave a number which i called after leaving the store and it was a fake (wrong) number.
So over all with this happening at this location left a sour taste in my mouth. Long gone are the days when customer service actually meant something i guess. The attitude she had does not belong in the work environment and is not at all a positive for business owners.
I will not be returning to this location and will be contacting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was met with extreme disrespect with my most recent experience. Once I placed my order the female staff behind the counter began to look at me in a rude way.
The entire time she was making my sandwich she was talking to her co-worker who was in the back over my sandwich as she made it. She would glance up at me every so often. The glances would be followed by a smirk and laughter. She was speaking in her native tongue but her body language clearly displayed her poor attitude and gave me the impression she was talking to her co-worker about me.
Once my sub was toasted, i asked for pickles, I asked her if she could add a bit more and she gave me a dirty look as if I spoke to her in a rude way or had done something wrong. She tried to cover it up with a smile when she saw me looking at her. Once my sandwich was made she threw it on the counter and walked off. I don't really understand this behavior and it is extremely unprofessional to be honest.
The condiments I asked for on my sub were sparse and most fell out of the side of the sub when I unwrapped it.
Thanks for your response, I went to the Goreway location, 7125 Goreway Dr. Unit 2. I was there between 830-9 pm last...
