The chef has a temperament over here !!
If you go over the weekend there are HIGH chances you won’t get the same quality! This is happening with me repeatedly & Ive given them enough chances
A hot & sour soup with ONLY Cubed cabbage (not Even julienne cabbage!!!) hardly any carrots, 1 small piece of mushroom , 1 tiny piece of tofu ! So basically a cabbage soup with soy sauce & vinegar He makes it EXTRA spicy even when you tell him medium or LESS spicy Black pepper with GREEN chillies & green chillies seeds floating Everywhere with hardly ANY flavour!
Our 1st female server argued with me that oh we don’t put more mushrooms in this soup, so madam why put one tiny piece as well, & surprisingly she asks me to change my order 😂😂 instead of recommending to remake it ! Anyway i almost held my nerves with her unprofessional behaviour & requested a proper soup !!
2nd soup remake the chef blands the soup, minuses ginger garlic & adds 1 more green bean lol ! This is a JOKE
You are an Indo chinese restaurant, if you can’t chop your veggies, please 🙏🏻 don’t expect customers to like it !
The 3rd time, the soup finally had good different veggies with garlic & ginger! But not the optimal taste & flavours what this restaurant can ACTUALLY serve you! This seemed like a begging on our end! I could finally deal with my 3rd made soup! But honestly this isn’t the experience i want or i had earlier from the same chefs !!
Our rice was FULL with black pepper in an horrendous amount! I will ask the chef to have his own rice with NO balance of flavours!! Terrible TERRIBLE Terrible !
The male server once mentioned me only I have a problem with my order😂! That’s because i am not a dumb person to have JUST a CABBAGE BLACK PEPPER chili soup! Indo chinese hot & sour has ALL the veggies you can imagine & when i have come over weekday there used to be no problem but seems like the laziness of chefs & seeing them serve without passion has made me decide that This would be my LAST visit to such a restaurant who tries to fool customers on the name of Indo Chinese !!!
This is a slap on our face for the nth number of time now, I hadn’t put a review as i always used to inform the front desk & leave but seems there is NO effect of it! Last time we took a take away & i literally threw most of it !
The Owner is also never present at the restaurant to talk about chef’s moody temperament & serving completely disastrous meals over weekends !!
Good bye & good luck Hakka club ! I thought you would serve with consistency but unfortunately not !!
The photo of rice attached (I had particularly asked for MORE veggies in here!!) The soup photo i didn’t have patience to click a picture as i patiently waited for 45 mins for soup with ALL veggies to be served ! Anyway you would have seen only cabbage there Also where were the veggies cut in cubes ??? There used to be shredded cabbage & carrot! Seems like there was nothing good to be liked here !
To the owner, Please check if your chefs are atleast chopping veggies & not just cabbage & carrots ! Also over the phone when I checked your reception says 50 mins waiting but when i arrived in 5 mins, we waited only 10 minutes! Please ask your servers NOT to lie over the phone about waiting If you don’t want business, close the restaurant at 8 pm rather than befooling the customers !
PS- we tried Argentia road last time & had a horrendous experience as well! The Nepalese chef no more works there who is a Master of Indo Chinese flavors!
We had a plastic bottle broken cap in our rice & the taste majorly...

TLDR
Visited hakka club on wonderful spring evening, let me breakdown the experience
Ambience: Interior looked nice, tables were cleaned promptly after every visit. Television had food channel on loop. Punjabi music was played on full swing.
Seating: Decent seating: Comfortable seating for 30 people in total, we were offered seat immediately as two people seats were promptly available. But saw a party of 3 waiting for 15-20 minutes unnecessarily. Reason being table for 4 were occupied by party of 2 thus making all 4 seaters unavailable.
Restaurant management can ask the front desk person to assist in seating or assign table numbers.
Service: As soon as we sat, we were offered water and menu so kudos for that. Menu is 1 pager with all options. Servers were readily available to take the order and offer recommendations. On some items for example spring roll the dish doesn't say the number of spring rolls that are offered and dishes are not indicated with spice level. Server helped us in identifying the right spice level dish.
We were not informed how much time order will take so we were just watching and waiting when our order will come.
A note for management: They can use Chilli pics to signify spice levels And server can inform us on the time it will take for our order to be prepped up.
Food: we ordered spring rolls, Shaadiwale noodles and veg Manchurian with gravy for 2 people.
Food portions were nice. Food was colorful and spicy. We were told noodles are Indian style, but spice level went above and beyond Indian style we had to ask for napkins thrice during our meal.
I also saw a lot of food being left over and taken for home or outrightly wasted something for the management to ponder upon.
Food had lot of color elements. That looked pleasant to the camera
Water service was prompt.
Other comments: They use clover bill payment system so you can use all types of credit cards which is good. There is a neat catch, if you want receipt you need to give your phone number. A good way to rack up on phone number database.
Some more things that can be incorporated
A feedback form or guest handbook can be introduced. I am not sure if there were many beverages option.May be we were too hungry to look upon it.
Overall I enjoyed my experience at hakka club, it's definitely worth a visit, if you are craving for Indian style...
Read moreWe ordered our food at 1:15 pm they didn’t serve us until 2:15 pm forgot our appetizers and then when they brought the food out it was all basically the same sauce in different shades of red which ended up hurting my stomach after. They said they would comp our lollipop chicken since they forgot it and then when the bill came we saw they tried to sneak it onto the bill also they didn’t provide us any drinking water except for 5 Aquafina bottles on the table which we saw they charged us for after making us wait so long for food. Only go here if you want mediocore Hakka food you will have to wait 2 hours for. They were bringing out mains before appetizers and protein dishes with gravy with no rice or noodles to eat it with which was ridiculous in my opinion. We understand it was Mother’s Day and they might be overwhelmed but they didn’t even offer an apology for the wait or any form of reassurance the food would be coming soon or check up on us. We witnessed other people getting fed up and leaving before their food arrived as well due to the long wait time and bad service. Please work on yourselves and all the good reviews here must be fake reviews they purchased online as the entire experience was unsatisfactory and kind of ruined our Mother’s Day lunch. We wouldn’t have even considered looking at the dessert menu that’s how unsatisfied we were. As for food everything tastes the same and we ordered a wide variety of dishes from the menu from chicken to shrimp to fish. Every dish was around 20 dollars which is fair if the quality and taste are good. But that isn’t the case here. Go to chilli chicken house down the street you will have a much better time. Only come here if you wish to overpay for mediocre Hakka food and leave unsatisfied. Very salty and a lot of msg as well. Price for value...
