I stopped in last Sunday before flying home. I was a couple of minutes too late for breakfast, so I ordered a meatball panini and a drink from the bartender. Not long after the server brought me a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. When I told her that was not what I ordered, she said that was what was on the ticket and she then tried to give it to me. I refused and she took the dish back, only to return with it a minute later, trying again to get me to take the meal. Finally she took it to the kitchen and a few minutes later she brought me the sandwich that I ordered. The meatballs from the spaghetti had clearly been repurposed into the sandwich so they were now dry and cold. In the interest of not getting on the plane hungry, I ate it. I asked about being overcharged as the spaghetti was $5 more than the sandwich and the meal had been prepaid, including a tip. Nobody seemed to know what to do at this point and I was even asked if I wanted to take something to go to offset the extra charge. I was told the bill would be looked after by a manager. After several requests to correct my bill, it was now time to board my flight so I left, being told once more that the bill would be corrected. Two days later and not only have I not received my original (incorrect) bill, I have not seen any refund on my credit card either. If I could rate negative stars, I would. Best steer clear of this so-called eatery until they get their...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Corso in Toronto Pearson International Airport, and it was a delightful experience. The food was truly outstanding, offering a refreshing change from typical airport fare.
We started with Caesar’s and root veggie fries, both of which were delicious. The Caesar’s were perfectly balanced with just the right amount of kick, and the root veggie fries were a crispy, flavorful treat.
For the main course, we tried the Gnocchi Primavera and the Prosciutto Pizza. The Gnocchi Primavera was a standout dish, featuring tender gnocchi paired with fresh, vibrant vegetables in a light, flavorful sauce. The Prosciutto Pizza was equally impressive, with a thin, crispy crust and generous toppings of prosciutto, fresh arugula, and shaved Parmesan.
The atmosphere at Corso was lovely and surprisingly serene for an airport setting. It provided a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal before our flight. Additionally, the use of a QR code for the menu made ordering and paying a breeze, adding to the overall convenience and efficiency of our dining experience.
Overall, Corso exceeded our expectations and is a fantastic dining option for anyone passing through Toronto Pearson...
Read moreI had come for a quick drink before I had to board my flight. I had a big carry on which I decided to put on the seat next to me. There where a total 5 seats empty seats next to me and many others open and didn’t see it to be a problem. A server had come by to tell me to put the bag down in order to sell other seats. I had stated there are many seats available, is this really needed? I didn’t think much of it at the time stating that, but then the server rudely turned and stated are you being aggressive? I was in shock and stated, no? And then he stated, I can have you removed if your aggressive. I then said to him no your the one being aggressive.
Didn’t realize hospitality could ever stoop so low. I was uncomfortable from the attitude of this server and was very disappointed. Pearson already has a bad reputation due to all the delays, and now adding poor customer service is very disappointing.
Work on your customer service skills and not belittle guests through trying to sell seats. Maybe next time try, excuse me sir, do you mind putting your bag down in order to serve other guests. Thinking your guests are the aggressive ones is quite...
