Xe Kem Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Mississauga

TL;DR: Perfect desserts! The highest Asian compliment, "Not too sweet" ;) IKYKY. Will be returning for sure! Flavours are explosive.

Originally saw them on Instagram and wanted to try their soft serve. When we arrived, they were only serving basic flavours so made the mistake of looking at their other desserts: Yogurt Drinks, Yogurt, Salted Egg Cupcake, Fresh Corn Sponge Cake, Flan Caramel, Purple Sticky Rice Yogurt, and Ice Creams... Ended up buying all of them to try.

Everything has been absolutely delicious! Can easily chug the entire Yogurt Drinks (has real fruit too). The Salted Egg flavours aren't that strong but between the cupcake and ice cream, the cupcake had the stronger taste.

The ice cream flavours are incredible - avocado, mango, durian, ube, coconut. They're all spot on and make it seem like you're eating the actual fruit. The durian is potent! Favourite is the coconut though - so refreshing and has shavings on top.

Will definitely be back before summer ends! Worth the drive...

This is my second time at Xe Kem and I really like how they have a variety of flavours and dessert items! I got the caramel flan, Vietnamese yogurt, salted egg cupcakes and avocado ice cream.

(1) Caramel Flan - it was silky, smooth and the sweetness of the caramel was not too overpowering. (2) Vietnamese Yogurt - a refreshing and creamy dessert which is perfect to cool down on a hot summer's day. (3) Salted Egg Cupcake - this huge cupcake is deliciously crafter with the saltiness of the egg, savoury notes from the meat floss, the creaminess and sweetness from the soft and spongy cake. (4) Avocado Ice Cream - their ice creams are always great. You can really tell that it's home-made as the flavour of the natural Avocado was very prominent unlike other ice creams that are usually packed with sugar.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to try their soft-serve ice cream as I got there 30 minutes before closing time which is when they turn off the machine. The owners were very polite and patient. I'd...

Delicious and Unique Desserts at Xe Kem!

This was our first time visiting Xe Kem, and we were blown away by the experience! We picked up a couple of "Durian Sweet Dessert" cups, egg pudding, and coconut jelly, and everything was so delicious. The coconut jelly, in particular, was a standout – it was both soft and crunchy, a texture I’ve never experienced before. The flavor was perfectly fresh, not too sweet, and I was pleasantly surprised to find fresh coconut meat inside the jelly. It’s a must-try!

The egg pudding was good, but what really stole the show for me was the Banh Trang Tron. I’ve had this dish before, but Xe Kem’s version is truly the best I’ve ever tasted. The sauce was incredibly flavorful, and they even included a plastic glove and utensils so I could mix it at home – such a thoughtful touch!

I never expected it to be this good, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try more of their offerings. Xe Kem has definitely become a go-to...
