So what can I say about Moxies? First and foremost, if you have the opportunity to go one, take it! The main reason I am putting this review up for multiple visits to Moxies is because of today’s visit here in Moncton NB. My wife and I celebrated 17 years together today and made the choice to dine here because it’s a favourite and a nice night away from hometown Saint John NB. We are big foodies and love to get out and experience restaurants and what dishes they have to offer. Getting back to reason of this review is because out of the (9) visits to Moxies; twice in Red Deer AB, six times in Ottawa, Ont., and first visit to Moncton NB location, being the best by far because of a multitude of reasons, calm, quiet, comfortable spacious, fantastic drinks, apps, food, deserts, but above all the most personable experience because of our server ( Tyler )! His friendly approach and introduction along with a warm welcome to Moxies was fantastic! His timing to check in on our service was perfect every time keeping our drinks full and food coming one after the other from beginning with apps to finishing with desert! It was nice to have a server that you could actually talk to and not in a hurry to run away and actually engaged to our needs but also have a good laugh with us because of our witty attitudes being jokesters. Lol. If your reading this Tyler, again, my wife and I thank you for a great 17th Anniversary meal experience. Look forward to seeing you again! Cheers my friend! My first experience was in Ottawa, Ontario when I travelled there from New Brunswick because of a 6 week project my employer took on for us to get completed. In those 6 weeks I had the opportunity to dine at many restaurants in the local area of where we stayed. Moxies was a choice made one particular evening by 4 of us tradesmen to dine and unwind for the evening. That first evening at Moxies was such an impression from the 4 of us we Continued to come back once a week for the next 5 weeks while experiencing other places throughout each week. Meals were paid for so why not?!? Lol. Second time experiencing this restaurant was in Red Deer on another project. Results were as expected and spot on with above all mentioned. Moxies is great quiet place to dine, have a classy drink or a simple beer/ cocktail while enjoying a fantastic appetizer of choice while waiting for your entree. Deserts are a must too if your not full already lol. Highly recommend this restaurant. All staff are professionally dressed but it’s not required by you to be, pleasant environment, pleasant staff, nice variety on menu for...
Read moreAfter a disappointing experience at a different restaurant, I was fortunate enough to find a dining establishment with exceptional service and a top-notch general manager.
From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly and accommodating, eager to make my dining experience as enjoyable as possible. My server was attentive without being overbearing, making sure that my meal was prepared to my specifications and that my glass was never empty.
What really stood out to me, however, was the leadership of the general manager. They were present throughout the evening, making sure that every guest was satisfied and addressing any issues that arose in a timely and professional manner.
It was clear that this restaurant had a strong emphasis on providing excellent service, and this was reflected in every aspect of my dining experience. From the quality of the food to the attentiveness of the staff, everything was truly top-notch.
In contrast to my previous disappointing experience, this restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. The exceptional service and leadership of the general manager made all the difference, and I left feeling truly satisfied and impressed.
If you're looking for a dining experience that goes above and beyond, I highly recommend this restaurant. With their commitment to excellence and outstanding leadership, you're sure to have an...
Read moreMy wife had the beef dip on sourdough bread with sweet potato fries and I had the Blackened Mahi-Mahi, AKA Dolphinfish.
Our server Melissa was excellent, she knew her job well, provided good communication, read the table well, provided good service and she performed all expected tasks, ie: she came back to ensure the food was good, she timed the delivery of the entree as we had requested, she asked if we needed more water when the levels were getting down, asked if we were interested in Dessert and even asked if we needed a takeaway for the leftovers.
The sweet potato fries were a little thick and not quite as crispy as what we had expected after the last visit to Moxie's in St. Johns, NL, but that is a minor thing and may be just different places do different things.
The food was very good, the Mahi-Mahi reminded me of a nice lake trout meat and the garnishes went well with it.
My wife said the Beef dip sourdough sandwich had a little too much onions for her taste and she had to remove some but this is just a matter of preference.
All in all, a good meal and a very nice location to spend...
