I’m going to be really honest, i find it weird that they don’t serve rice with the jerk chicken or ANYTHING with the ribs. I might have gone on a bad day but the ribs were very dry, jerk chicken was soooo salty, plantain fries were so salty that couldn’t taste the plantain and eating it with ketchup felt wrong. The rice and beans were mediocre at best. I was extremely disappointed because it was expensive for what it was $20 for an extremely salty half chicken with no rice included, only pikliz and pickled onions. $25 for 5 dry ribs that didn’t come with anything. $7 for very salty plantains and $7 for rice

. I saw hibiscus tea on the menu and asked if it was sorrel (aka Jamaican sorrel/Caribbean sorrel) but the waitress didn’t know what it was. How can a staff of a Caribbean restaurant not know what sorrel is? It’s like going to a Mexican restaurant and the staff doesn’t know what horchata is. So she told me that the hibiscus tea was tea. Anyways.. maybe it’s just a new staff member. But other than the food and that hiccup, the service was good, the staff was friendly and the vibe was great. Honestly maybe i just went on a bad day for the kitchen...

The food is pretty good, had brisket, jerk chicken burger, and yuca fries. The meat is superbly juicy and perfectly cooked, though the chicken had bits where it was super salty, not super spicy. A little on the weird side but there are 0 condiments, nothing is offered? Feels like bare minimum ketchup but should have some hot sauces available especially for fries.

I ordered a cocktail, the fresco haitien, it was just juice syrup on ice, there was no fruit, and they forgot the rum, they were apologetic and comped it though so they understand.

The service really needs work though. The staff is still figuring out the POS and it feels as if they don't have much experience, including the bartender. My drink arrived halfway through my meal after I reminded them twice about it. It was 1:30pm and fairly empty, yet really slow, even with 3 waiters they seemed confused. We had to ask for the bill several times as well. I can't imagine the place running at full service.

I do hope they get the hang of things as they're super nice and the food is good, maybe just give them a while to get the hang of things, or go knowing it...

The restaurant is well decorated and the food is very good. My only criticism for the food was the absence of some sort of dipping sauce with the fries. My rating would have been much higher if I was basing my reviews solely on the food. Unfortunately, the service was very challenging. Very long wait time, difficulty bringing out the correct drinks. Mix up with main course and discrepancy with the final bill. The waiter did apologize and owned the mistakes. I will give the benefit of the doubt since they recently opened. Alot of emphasis needs to be put on improving the service, however.

Moreover, we were seated outside. At first the atmosphere was great with music playing. Shortly after we sat down, the music stopped and never came back which put a damper on the overall vibe. With all that being said, I would give this restaurant another try because the food was delicious and there's alot...

Very cute place; and food was delicious! We wanted to try this restaurant for “Mtlatable”. The Oxtail croquettes were full of flavour and I loved the different textures. I chose the Jerk Cornish Hen and rice and peas for the second and third service. The Jerk was on point and seasoned perfectly as well as a superb presentation. You can’t go wrong with rice and peas and they also added a sauce to pour over top which added even more depth. The last service was dessert and I had the rum cake which was decent but not exceptional. I found it lacked flavour but was very moist. It is quite small in the restaurant so you are pretty close to other guests but the decor and open concept of the kitchen was very unique. The owner was serving some of the dishes which made it more special . You should try the fusion of Caribbean/Haitian flare and I will most definrbe back to try other dishes.

As a Little Italy local, I cannot be happier to have this gem in the neighbourhood! American grill master meets Haitian flavour and WOW. Recommendations for our first (and not our last) would be the beef croquet, Ceviche, plantain fries, griot, and the BRISKET. All delicious, with great service (shoutout to arthur) and beautiful location being in the heart of jean talon market. Take advantage of their terasse while the MTL summer lasts!
