Banh Mi Banh Yiu — Restaurant in Montreal

I was looking forward to tasting their food, but while waiting in line, the cashier decided to turn around and change songs instead of taking customer orders... we were 3 in line with no other customers in the resto... this I found extremely unprofessional, but I let it slide because she may be new at her job. What really made me turn around and walk out was the attitude she had towards a new customer (a gentlemen in front of me) asking what flavors of sandwiches they offer; with a condescending voice and an annoyed look on her face,she the cashier replied: "look at the menu."

To the cashier with pink hair; you work in customer service - you should be happy if someone is asking what kind of flavors your have as this is a potential new client.

was not pleased with the food. I was excited to try some banh mi with vegan options. However, i was disappointed as soon as i walked into the door. From the decor to the food, nothing was traditional about this place. I had the tofu banh mi and the tofu tasted like curry while the cucumbers, carrots and daikon raddishes weren’t even well pickled, and there was barely any cilantro on the sandwich. This place needs to have some sign saying it is vietnamese inspired sandwhiches and not traditional. There already aren’t a lot of vietnamese restaurants in montreal and this restaurant gives a totally wrong idea of what vietnamese food is. I am vietnamese and i was disappointed when i was craving some childhood food and got a globalized...

Love this place! The atmosphere is so chill and the food sososo delicious. First time I came in I got a lemonade and it was life changing. Minty and lemony goodness.

Second time around I went to try the Banh mi and they were fantastic. Fresh ingredients and yummy flavour combinations.

I loved my avocado sandwich, it did have a little bit too much bread but that's just the style so can't really complain about that. The avocado was fresh and the seasoning was perfect.

The staff is really friendly, they made me feel right at home. They also have a killer selection of imported snacks, I went crazy and bought almost everything.

I'm so happy they're close to my house because now I can go all the timeeeeeeeeee. Seriously, check...
