This is the most fresh sushi I’ve had in a very long time. The quality of the sushi is top-tier rivalling and out performing all the “high-end” sushi restaurants. I love the large assortment of sushi they offer. It is outstanding how beautiful the plating is, I appreciate the amount of effort they put in to make it visually appealing. How they present the sushi is a great representation of their commitment to their service. They are incredibly knowledgeable and polite. Management and customer service is unmatched.

We’ve been going to Sushi Shoten for years, before they moved to this location. Exceptionally, food quality has not decreased with time, the ingredients taste fresh and my friends, family and I can vouch for their amazing sushi and poke bowls. The staff there are super chill and friendly, and the small outdoor terrace is really nice (it’s tiny but really pleasant). Honestly a great spot overall, great choice for more affordable delicious sushi!

Not bad, pretty fast sushi eatery right off of a busy street in Miles End. The portions of fish they put in and on the sushi are generous and fresh. My major complaint is the sushi rice, it was way too dry. Seasoning is good, as you can taste the acidity and sweetness in the rice, but it was just too dry. The nigiri was falling apart as we were eating them. So I'm not sure if it was old rice, or if the rice was a smidge undercooked.

I came here randomly with my girlfriend on our date night. And its a takeout counter mostly. Regardless, the amazing staff made space for us and served us an amazing attitude and kindness.

The two owners are gems and they really paid attention to our order as well as our askings.

I have to say, the food was phenominal and I wouls highly recommend to try this place. It is not expensive as all and the quality of the food is amazing.

Sincerly hope these two continue finding the success they have because this place is a true little gem to Montreal and i absolutely love the food and the people here.

Cheers Andy to you and your amazing little team. Much...

This is my favorite take-out sushi place in Montreal, and I've tried a lot (Tataki, Royal Sushi, etc.). Everything is delicious, always fresh and always made to order, no fridge stuff, and good variety in the combos. There's something different about the soy sauce - it's sweeter and subtler, and pairs really well. The prices are amazing for how good it is - at lunch, 2 can eat well for around 15 bucks total, and it's only a few bucks more at dinner time (there's also a giant 40-ish? 2-person dinner special, but I always have leftovers). Check it out if you're ever in this area, it's great for take-out or a snack, and there's place to sit...

I had first given this place 5 stars because the first experience I had was great. The sushi was good and the price even better! I decided to take some sushi to go for myself last sunday. 2 days later and I had to call info-santé because of a stomach issue that is really unpleasant. Tried to think of something else that could have caused this but I can’t. I tried to look for other reviews that mention similar experiences, but at least there aren’t any! The nurse said it was probably the sushi. So I won’t be coming back...
