Banh Mi Thé Perlé — Restaurant in Montreal

I’ve been going here for a few years now and can safely say it’s one of my go to lunch places any time of the year and I am lucky enough to be within a 10 min walking distance 😁

I personally love the pork bahn mi but have tried the chicken bahnmi too and both are very good. I always request extra spicy and she definitely delivers. Someone mentioned in a review that they thought there were too many pickled radishes and carrots proportionately but if you have it as spicy as I do those are very welcomed when your mouth is on fire 😅

I also love their bubble teas in summer. My regular order is passionfruit but if you want something a little less sweet the dragonfruit and mango is also good.

The service is pretty fast. I have never had to wait more than maybe 10-15 mins on a BUSY day and then when it’s quieter it’s obviously faster.

The main lady behind the counter is THE MOST friendly person. She’s super sweet and an absolute boss. I’ve seen her on a very busy day when the store was packed (Saint Denis had an event on) serving each customer with the biggest smile, managing the kitchen and conversing in 3 different languages without being the tiniest bit flustered.

All I can say is that this place deserves every part of the rating I give it.

The owners were some of the sweetest people I had met in Montreal, and were extremely welcoming and friendly. She had recommendations for me each time I visited (3 times within 4 days). I don’t speak any French, and I felt very comfortable speaking English there.

The atmosphere of their shop was also amazing. You can tell they spent a lot of time and effort on making it cozy and warm inside. I don’t have pictures, but there are neon lights, old wine bottle decorations, and more.

Oh right, the food was incredible too. I got two different kinds of fruit tea, and one brown sugar boba. I also tried the pork bahn mi, as well as the beef.

i felt like having bubble tea so my boyfriend and i just went inside randomly and it ended up being such a good experience! we forgot to take more pictures but he got the mango dream and i got the raspberry rose and they were both delish!!! we then decided to have banh mis while we were there and OH. MY.
