We really enjoyed this lively little restaurant, this one ranks among the highest for us in Montreal! The staff were really courteous and helped explain the subtleties of the menu. The seating arrangements were comfortable and heated. The restaurant has lots of colors and feels inviting. There were delicious complementary olives, super tasty and not the everyday kind you can find in a supermarket.
We ordered the croquettes for appetizers. We were pleasantly surprised by the expertise of textures! Beautiful crunchy batter with an extremely creamy smooth filling. The mayo was obviously homemade (as is every item on the menu) and had a really unique fragrance.
The boudin ibérique, was a great dish. The poached egg yellow just melts into a natural sauce, garnishing the mushroom assortments with punchy notes from the smoked boudin.
We ordered the beef cannoli, again great experience! The beef was slow cooked to perfection and reminded me of the beef stews my grandma would cook for hours.
Finally the desert was quite a surprise. The chocolate ganache came with a unique set of ingredients: fleur de sel and olive oil. It was a little unconventional but it definitely passed the taste test.
The plates are very small but very consistent so after a three course meal I was stuffed. We ended up eating for 30$ per head including taxes and tips, for a very affordable and enjoyable evening.

Read moreThe food at this restaurant exceeded my expectations.
We wanted to try many items so we probably ordered more than average for 2 people, but as they were tapas, we still ate everything and were comfortably full after. All the dishes we ordered were very good: creative, well-presented, and flavourful. To narrow down the choices, I would recommend the « pulpo mar y montana » over the « pulpo a la gallega »; it was like an elevated version of the latter, where the mashed potato became a creamy potato-flavoured emulsion with some nicely charred pork bites. Although the lamb skewers were delicious, they were less original than some other options.
Additionally, I’m always searching for a rich, not overly sweet, dark chocolate dessert and their dark chocolate ganache with olive oil, salt, and croutons made me so happy. Overall, I don’t think one can go wrong with any of their dishes. It does get expensive, but then again, I’ve had pricier, inferior meals elsewhere, so I gladly paid for this pleasant experience. I would definitely come back again.
Of note, the restaurant is small and gets loud with conversations. It’s best to reserve, the online system...
Read moreThe food was really good. We had 4 different tapas, a main & a dessert to share plus 2 glasses of red wine. Everything was tasty and reminded me a bit of when I lived in Spain (the bill didn't though, haha).
The service was amazing, everyone was friendly and efficient. Maybe that's because we were close to the kitchen but I could tell that people were made to be very stressed though. I think there was really no reason to be under so much pressure. I can't talk for everyone of course but I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't mind waiting a bit more if it meant that you guys can breath better.
The atmosphere was pleasant. Not too noisy, you get to actually talk to your date which is nice.
The only real negative note I had were the bar stools. It's just not high enough relatively to the bar to be comfortable and by the second half of my meal, I had to stand up and finish the meal standing because my back was killing me and it didn't bring me lower than when I was on the stool anyway. My advice would be to buy taller & more comfortable stools + install a...
