I'll refrain from being overly negative since I visited this restaurant during its first week of opening. While there were some issues I noticed that I could address with the restaurant owner personally, I'll focus on the food and service for now. The location is ideal for tourists, especially during the summer. We chose to sit inside, although there's also a terrace available. My friends enjoyed their sangria while I opted for a beer. Unfortunately, the food was rather mediocre. It didn't meet the standard of Spanish cuisine I've experienced, both in Montreal and in Spain itself. Our waiter mentioned it was his first day, so while he was friendly, he lacked menu knowledge, which is understandable for a new employee. However, when I expressed my dissatisfaction, they promptly removed the item from the bill and handled the situation courteously. I appreciate that they sought feedback, indicating a willingness to improve. I was more than happy to share my thoughts on what could be enhanced. I'm not giving up on this restaurant just yet and will revisit to see if there's been any improvement before forming a final opinion. For now, I removed 2 stars for the food. Of course, like any restaurant in the Old Port, parking can be an issue (useful information for tourists), but the ambiance of the place is charming. The prices are ok compared to other restaurants in the area.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bouqueria in Montreal, and it was an experience worth sharing. I ordered the fish of the day, which happened to be the whole Branzino. Let me tell you, it was expertly grilled to perfection. The fish was tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making it a true highlight of the meal. The dish came with escalivada, a delicious medley of grilled vegetables, and Patatas Bravas, which were absolutely the best-tasting potatoes I've ever had. The crispy potatoes paired with the sweet and creamy mayo mixture were simply divine. The ambiance at Bouqueria was another standout. The homey and serene decor made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. It felt like a warm, welcoming escape from the bustle of the city. The service was equally impressive—our server was incredibly attentive and sweet, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Overall, Bouqueria is a gem in Montreal's culinary scene. If you're looking for a place with delicious food, a cozy atmosphere, and top-notch service, I highly recommend giving it a try!

Was an absolute pleasure to celebrate my birthday in this restaurant!✨ To start with, the service is one of the best I’ve had in Montreal. I visited the restaurant a week prior the event and asked if I can choose the table. The manager was amazing and let me choose the table, he was very helpful and nice about it. The day of my birthday celebration we got not just great service but also amazing food and drinks. We orders Paella and Catch of the Day, everything was fantastic. And lastly, the atmosphere made us feel like we are on vacation dinner☀️🌊🏖️🐚🌅 You definitely have to visit this place! P.S. to the manager and the crew, thank you again for making my birthday event perfect🫶🏻

Terrible terrible terrible service and poor way to celebrate my mother’s birthday. I hope management make refinements so that other people do not experience the poor service my family did.

We went on August 1st at 8:00pm. Host (they seemed to be the lead staff during this shift) seated us, and was quick to set up our table-perfect! My dad asked if they had beer, to which the staff said, « give me three seconds »……we ended up waiting 20 minutes. There were 3 other staff members tending to the patio tables, where they seemed to be welcoming and regularly available. However the inside tables were just as busy….but no staff whatsoever batted an eye towards our corner window table. Need I mention this whole time we didnt even have water…the bare minimum….I even reluctantly became that person who full on waved their arms up in the air, and said « excuse me » whenever one of the staff passed by. Still not even a glance. The table next to us was experiencing the same poor service, but they at least had water.

It took our table and the neighboring table to wave down a server to which I pointed out « at this point we just want water » The lead staff shortly came by as my dad simultaneously waved him down and took our order. They were kinda rude, and didn’t create a welcoming atmosphere. We placed an order for paella, calamari and asparagus. We were served the paella quite timely. The calamari and asparagus…and staff were nowhere to be seen. Another 20 minutes later we finished the paella and was finally able to flag down a staff. I told him that we were still waiting on our calamari and asparagus. He said he was going to check up on it but yet again never came back to give us an update. Considering that the calamari and asparagus were sides, it was pretty clear that the lead staff who took our order forgot to punch in those items. We ended up walking up to a staff, canceling the items in the items, and getting the bill instead.

The restaurant was perhaps at 70% capacity. There were tables available, and groups of 2-4 people having dinner here. There were no large parties that perhaps would've taken up the availability of a server. It was just as busy inside as it was out on the patio. Yet there didn’t seem to be enough staff for the inside tables. So to experience the service that we did makes me feel beyond disappointed. And for this to have been my moms birthday celebration is...

Belle terrasse, ça a l’air sympa !

A bon...
