Boulangerie Première Moisson - Gare Centrale — Restaurant in Montreal

Bought a cake, missing parts and cracked with chocolate falling apart and they charged me full price on the thing 🙃. Missing a piece of meringue, buttercream cracked which is sign of the cake being old and losing moisture, chocolate cracked and falling apart as mentioned earlier. Of course in the display they turned it to the best side so it’s not apparent but can you imagine the surprise when i brought it to my parents place and opened it up. The box was also recycled showing a tag for a different cake ( tag reads Black Forest when the cake i bought was praline). There was a baked on smudge on the box when i received it and addressed it to the employee and she just took a few napkins tried to wipe it and said sorry it’s baked on. Box was also torn and showed signs of being repaired or attempted to be with scotch tape. Old tape showing underneath as well.

All to say I’m usually satisfied with their products but this time was a letdown, hopefully they well read this and improve...

Ordered a cappuccino and a pastry.

The cappuccino was terrible. They use a dispenser machine and some sort of canned foam not unlike shaving cream. With how many brilliant cafes there are just outside of the station, this is embarassing. It's clearly meant for folks like me who need to catch a train, don't have time to go anywhere else, and don't plan on ever coming back, so they overcharge for cheap, disgusting coffee. I've learned my lesson and next time will budget my time to avoid this place at all costs.

The pastry was not disgusting, but slightly tough around the edges. I initially ordered a croissant aux amandes, but it took a few minutes for that to register in the mind of the staff member that was helping me. I was flabbergasted for the moments that I thought he didn't know what an almond croissant was. They had sold out, so instead he offered a petit pain au chocolat aux amandes.

Very disappointing customer service. Have been purchasing their products for decades. Reached out to the main office and spoke to Kellyanne Moreau. I Told her about a serious issue with one the the loafs of bread where there appeared to be bits foreign products mixed in. She made me go through the trouble of giving her codes and taking pictures only to later say that they couldn't find the problem. Never offered a replacement or even as much as a coupon or basic apology. Even when I told her of my disappointment in their service she refused to do anything.
