I have been coming to this Premier Moisson on Monkland for at least 10yrs plus… my family and I love the bread, pastries, cakes, cookies…all are so very fresh & delicious. It is my go to place for bread and deserts. A few weeks ago I did an order on line, 2 platters of mini croissants and chocolatins, however when I arrived to pick them up my order was totally wrong… the store was giving me 2 platters of assorted larger pastries such as danishes etc… not at all what I ordered or wanted. However I had no choice but to accept them because it was for my uncles funeral that day and it was to serve with coffee at the funeral home😔 A few days later I ended up sending my review to the store as I was still so disappointed and sad with the wrong order. Plus nobody ate them because they were just too large and too sweet, not at all what we liked in pastries. A few days later after my review to the store, the manager (Julias ) called me and sincerely apologized and asked me to stop by the store as he wanted to personally apologize & compensate me for the error his store made. Well today I went back to the store and met with Julias. He repeatedly apologized & compensated me for the incorrect order I had received, plus he took care of my order today! Julias made my day today and really made me feel like an important special customer. He wanted me to know how important I was and he didn't want to loose me as a client because of an isolated error. He insisted and told me he wanted to make it right and he did! Julias is an amazing manager that truly cares for his customers and goes above and beyond to make things right! In today’s world there are not many managers who would take the time out of their busy day to call and meet with a customer in person. Thank you again Julias for making my day today!! It meant a lot to me and my family, you truly are...

I've lived in NDG my whole life, and in the last year or two, the food quality at this boulangerie has gone so down hill that its become a joke in our household.

My boyfriend (who lives in the UK) flew to visit me in the summer, and my mom wanted him to try some Quebecois comfort food, so she bought a quiche and a meat pie. Both were tasteless, and my mom and I were so embarrassed. But we didn't decide to leave a bad review, since it could have just been a miss.

Yesterday was my birthday, and my mom bought the black forest yule log from this establishment. I can't even begin to describe the disappointment. My mom bought the cake because she's been sick and couldn't bake one herself, so this wasn't the usual birthday cake I would get.

It tastes like nothing. 50% of the cake is whipped cream (that has most of the flavor in the cake, not a good sign) 45% a weird tiramisu-textured cake (that had a hint of chocolate flavor, like a bar of chocolate farted in the direction of the cake), and the last 5% was a jelly layer that faintly tasted of cherries. It tasted exactly like the E.D Smith premade cherry pie filling, but if it were put through a blender and mixed with water.

It's giving... smooth pb&j. Does it look nice? Yeah. Does it taste nice? No. I could have made a better cake. I don't know how to bake. Also, the cake was something outrageous, like 55$ for the large one (the one my mom got).

It sucks to buy a bad cake, but it's even worse when it's a birthday cake :(

We might just bake something or buy a new cake from a different store when things open back up. If you're looking to get a birthday cake, consider just buying elsewhere. Even grocery store cake tastes better, such a disappointment, especially...

The quality isn't maintained as it was before. The guy working at the cash register seems not interested in his job and has a lot of frustration. If you don't like your job just quit it and don't let your frustration out on paying customers. Secondly I asked a question to the guy, he turns around and asks one of his coworkers and she in French says tell him to tell me to go away because there's other customers and then she walks away so that she doesn't have to face me questioning her. This is unacceptable and it's racism. And then I don't understand the logic of the moi rewards card. He said that only people who pay, can use the moi rewards cards tht are in their name. This is clearly so stupid because I have been using my partners card everywhere and till today it was never an issue.

Like yo if you don't know just tell you don't know and ask your manager or someone else working there than showing your frustration on customers who are literally paying.

And then the guy working there has issues in understanding how to stamp the rewards card. Rather than just stamping for the two coffee we purchased, he just stared at us and kept looking and after a few minutes started thinking again and then stamped.

To summarize it, the vibe was...

I am hooked on the croissants from Boulangerie Premiere Moisson. I have been to three of their locations, and they all have not disappointed me. The croissants are fresh, very tasty, and delicious. The plain croissants are buttery and have lovely flakiness to it. The almond croissants are not like all others. It has almond paste baked into the center, and it almost tastes like a soft, flaky cake. It was delicious. There are street metered parking which makes it very easy to access by car. They take both cash and credit card. They speak the universal language of pointing my finger at their croissants. But they also speak French and English in case you can't use your pointing finger. I would come back again. If you are visiting Montreal, this chain of boulangerie is a must visit. Try the croissants and let me know. If you know other boulangeries, please also let me know.

Avoid any coffee here 👎! Breads are so-so. I sometimes go to this branch to get 🍞. Not good, and not bad! But the ☕️ coffee! NEVER GO FOR THAT. me and my wife got a coffee glace and a Late glace! It was literaly a brown water! The worst coffee I ever had in my life! Costed us 5 CAD each! Not recommend 👎👎👎. I complained about that and their supervisor told me it is because the new trainee made the coffee. However, I believe they really need to change their practice because I saw him supervised the new trainee when he was making the coffee...

Asked for a latte but received a black coffee with just a tiny amount of milk, but the cashier insisted that it was premade by the machine. Clearly the staff has to review on what a latte is: a low amount of coffee and MILK, Latte is MILK in Italian, how can people get wrong this in a store visited by many is beyond me. Crossaint was what saved the review some stars, be prepared to have your fingers dirty, as they full the top of the crossaint as seen in picture
