First time visiting. I came on a Tuesday late morning and left at beginning afternoon.
I must say, I absolutely love the food, love the concept and decoration!
However, I have to comment about how was the older lady/worker. She was a cold person. Let me explain, she got annoyed when the couple of friends sitting in front of us didn’t here her say: « you’re coffee is ready ». She rolled her eyes 🙄, because she had to go serve it to them at their table. I mean, the women were busy talking to each other and didn’t hear the worker saying their coffee was ready. So, that gave us a weird vibe. Then, when my friend and I went to pay for us food/drinks before leaving, that specific worker was very unwelcoming to us, didn’t say a word and was judging our pourcentage of tip we were leaving. I know she had a mask on, but you could clearly see all of the signs, also her body language was just not welcoming. Plus, you could see behind the mask that she wasn’t smiling and she didn’t say thank you/good bye.
Another thing I’d like to add, is that there was a customer sitting at a 4 seats table, then the male worker ask the customer to move to a 2 seats table. However, there was a lot of sitting places in the cafe, it wasn’t rush hour nor packed. Then maybe 1-2h later a gentlemen sat at the 4 seats table and the worker didn’t ask him to move.
I would understand if the cafe was crowded and if it was rush hour. However, it wasn’t and that just set me off.
In general, good food, great concept but the personal skills, communication and welcoming isn’t their forte I’d say.
For students/workers: • I felt judged that we were studying here. Didn’t felt welcomed. • Felt like they were annoyed that we were staying here for long. Although, we consumed food + drinks. • Wi-Fi isn’t the strongest for meetings, zoom classes, etc. At one point, I had to use my personal data for a meeting.
I would of love to rate this cafe higher, because the reviews here were 4-5 stars and more. However, my personal experience hasn’t met the ratings.
Also, the cafe seems to only be replying to good comments.
I read a comment were the staff wasn’t nice to customers and the owners of the cafe have yet to respond. This is why, I don’t see why they would respond to my review. If they do, I will be shocked.
I really wanted to love this cafe as I live in the neighborhood, it’s ecological, vegan and love studying at cafe’s. Unfortunately, it has left me on a unwelcoming, cold and judgy vibe that I will not...

Having been at this café before, I decided to meet up with some friends on a rainy day. The couple I met wanted to travel Canada and I was about to help them, also because the girl had had a bad accident with her bike in Montreal (hospital etc) and on the day we met still felt dizzy.
As who have travelled before, free wifi is a kind gesture to all customers, but especially to one who needs it the most -- non-locals. As she felt dizzy my friend only drank water and when she asked for the wifi code, the woman behind the counter did the one mistake you should not do - got nasty at my friend and demanded she ordered something. She resisted with extreme stubbornness - even though we others had ordered hot beverages (I was actually about to get myself food too). But its not nice to be treated like this in a place that should be a place of kindness, peace and respect. The Cafe is even called Cafe of peace!
To sum it up, I can only recommend the cafe to take down the free wifi sign on the front door - or - to treat customers nicely in any way, even if some might have had a bad day and only feel for water. The second helps your karma points too... Acting nasty and making your customers feel unwelcome is the oldest mistake in the book. And as we live in a digital world, free wifi should be as simple as it says -- FREE.
So sadly I will not...
Read moreSo cute and 🥰 adorable! Giacomo, the talented chef-owner- is creative in his choice of dishes. Tasty! He appears young to have a café like this! Good job! There are different size bowls- we opted for the medium one at $14- Good value. Chana masala, Shakshuka, baba ganouj, Mac & cheese, spicy mushrooms, mashed parsnip with melted cheese on top, coleslaw, beet salad, etc! The bread, served toasted, appeared to be a homemade chala. The texture was nice, but I believe it needed a little more salt or a little more sugar in the dough. I sat facing the plants, and I have a green thumb and wow, the plants are so happy! The Wandering Jew plant had the most incredible purple flowers. This was another birthday lunch. My friend, Eliane, knew I would like this café and suggested meeting here and...
