As per the reviews for this restaurant, I wanted to try ordering food from them for the first time.
My first experience was not good!
I initially ordered the food online for pickup, but the order was not confirmed. Hence, cancelled the order and decided to visit in-person to this place, as I really wanted to give a try.
I submitted my order in-person for four(4) different meals for takeout, and upon my request the gentleman gave me an estimated time approx. 20 mins.
I waited for 30 mins, and noticed that the customers who ordered after me were served but not me.
I approached the order desk and requested if my order was almost ready, the person apologized and replied that the cook has not yet started preparing my order.
This restaurant is completely disorganized and do not know how to prioritize and serve the customers.
As per the reviews the food may be good, I don't know as I didn't get the opportunity to try, but the customer service is bad.
I will not recommend this place, unless management makes serious changes in operations. First change the cook! Find a pro-cook who can dice onions quickly, as I saw from outside the current cook slicing the onions in turtle speed.
The cook should know to prioritize and serve the customers in a timely manner, and you may need to consider having minimum two(2) cooks and one(1) person at the front order desk.
Sadly a very bad experience for me who visited this place from the other end of the...
Read moreWe ordered Pav baaji along with other items from bistro Thanjai through uber eats (on March 28/ 2021). The pav baaji had visible mold in it and had a pretty bad stench. This is an absolutely disgusting customer service from Bistro Thanjai. The food should have been checked before being sent to the customers. We took a bite to realize something was off. Is food safety a joke to these restaurants ?
We are looking to raise a complaint with Public Health Montreal to have stricter food safety measures.
UPDATE: At the time of posting the earlier review, the restaurant called us and promised us that it was one-off and would be corrected. They mentioned they will implement stricter quality control measures. However, we were apprehensive of ordering again for a while.
We recently started to order again and today (December 20, 2021) were extremely disappointed to receive a clearly spoilt Vegetable korma (given as a side for plain biriyani). I had a couple bites by mistake and my stomach is now upset. Never ordering from this place again and reiterating that this place is a health hazard. So so disappointed with this place and hope they radically change...
Read moreI visited Cuisine Arya for lunch and ordered the breakfast combo—and I’m so glad I did. It came with a generous portion: a huge, crisp masala dosa, two soft and spongy idlis, and a perfectly fried medu vada, all served with tomato chutney, coconut chutney, and sambar I also requested a side of podi, and they happily brought it out with a smile—no extra charge.
Every single item was made fresh to order, and you can taste the difference. The dosa was golden and crispy, the vada was flavorful and had great texture, and the idlis were pillowy and clearly homemade. The coconut chutney was so good, I asked for two extra servings—and they gave them to me free of charge, which just shows how generous and customer-focused the staff is.
The people running the place are warm, genuine, and clearly passionate about what they do. This is the kind of spot that makes you feel at home while serving truly authentic, top-quality food. You’re getting unbeatable value for the price, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
Highly recommend Cuisine Arya to anyone craving real South...
