Hands down going on my top 10 restaurants for this year! From the moment you walk in with the friendly welcoming staff, to the cute decorations placed all around the restaurant, everything is so inviting. You then open up the cute polaroid menu, which is already a win for me because I'm a very visual person and I like the fact that you know exactly what you're ordering. Then the food, at a vegetarian perspective, is great! I had the fried tofu Don with yam sides. I never order sweet potatoes but my sister insisted and I'm glad she did because I think I love them now! The yam fries have a sweet batter to them which is what makes them soo good in my opinion. Fried tofu was perfectly crispy and the vegetables were nice and freshly prepared. Service, atmosphere and food are all 10/10 for me and I recommend this place to anyone who loves Japanese cuisine! And I know I'm not the only one because at one point while we were eating, there was a group that came in and he mentioned that it was so good the last time, he had to come again but with more people this time! So once again, I highly recommend this place and I can't wait to come back and bring more...

I used to be a regular here, but I had a bad experience on Monday when I came for lunch. I ordered the menchi katsu (which I always get because it’s usually good). I ate one of the katsu and everything was fine... until I bit into the second one. As you can see in the picture, there was a piece of plastic wrap inside the katsu, which completely ruined my appetite. I have no idea how it ended up there, but I was honestly shocked.

On top of that, the service was a bit slow. We had to go up to the cashier ourselves and tell the waitress about the plastic in our food. They said they would comp our appetizer to apologize, but how can I really trust the food again after almost eating plastic? 😭

To be fair, their food normally tastes great, which makes me even sadder to write this review. I just feel they need to be much more careful in their food preparation. I’m not sure if I’ll come back, but if I ever do, I know I won’t be ordering the menchi...
