Recently opened as Hans Paradise after closure of Délices des Indes at the same site. One block away from metro Station l'Acadie. near Université de Montréal, Place Beaumont and Marché Central/Guzzo Cinemas. Open 7/7 till 11pm. Much street parking available nearby. Busy renovated place with many customers on a Friday at 6 pm. Many drivers in and out picking up orders for takeout. Waitresses rather attentive, speaking English (pas francais); degree of desired spiciness was not asked by them which, in hindsight, is a mistake.* Colorful bilingual detailed 6 pages menu with no mention of degrees of spiciness available. Foreign beers available including cold can of Czechvar 500mL. Quickly served tasty abundant spicy food. Very satisfying and filling. Table with 2 banquettes was large with enough space for the numerous food platters for 2. As a party of 2, we took 1-Combo B complete meal for one (delicious lamb kebab, highlighted by mint sauce, and tender curry chicken), 2- Combo C (Vegan) complete meal for one and 3-Tandoori shrimps. The shrimps, dry and sticking to the plate were overcooked, tasting the iron pan they were served on, a disappointment. Dessert was prematurely put on the table during the main course for no obvious reason. TV was ON with entertaining contemporaneous dancing music videos. Nice furniture and decor. Greeting owner Hans was present at the bar. Washroom clean. Paper bag provided for bringing back home the surplus food was inadequate, leaky and too small: byo plastic bag. *If possible, ask for mild spiciness when ordering, to diminish risk of time delayed digestive sensitivity like happened. $100 for 2 with one 500 mL beer, taxes and tip included. 20250807 2nd visit. Service definitely needs improvement. Waitress conspicuously drops Czechvar beer can on the (dirty) floor denting it and nonetheless served it resulting in an 'erupting volcano' of beer on the table upon pulling the tab: this totally paralyzed her and she did not immediately clean the spill; we had to repeatedly tell her to bring more napkins; she finally woke up from her lethargy. I guess "one learns by one's mistakes"! (anything dropped on the floor should...

Read moreWent there to celebrate our wedding anniversary with family. After reading many reviews, I chose this place and it was fantastic. The inside is quaint and there was a lively evening vibe. The food is very tasty and fresh. We ordered an assortment of dishes to taste test and each one was as flavorful as the other. The waitress was as accommodating as she could be given that the restaurant was very busy and she was the only one taking the orders. Ice water was immediately put on the table. The appetizers came out lightning fast. We had to wait a bit for the main dishes, but it was well worth it. I met an acquaintance there who lives in the area. She told me she’s tried all the other Indian restaurants within the close radius but always comes back to this one. it’s also BYOB, a definite plus. We will certainly be going back. Definitely worth a visit, you won’t be...
