Recommended by a friend who lives within walking distance we tried this spot a Friday night. I have eaten in other Turkish restaurants in Montreal and had a certain expectation which I had to alter as soon as I entered the restaurant. The room is large with high ceilings and well laid out although tables are a tad too close to each other for my taste. The place was busy and we were seated near the kitchen area since it was busy. Within minutes though I was surprised as our waitress asked if we wanted to move to a nicer table.. I read some reviews about the wait staff..and all I can say is they are adorable polite, smiling (hard to do if you in a busy restaurant setting), We were served by 4 different persons and all were helpful and attentive considering the amount of customers. For the food I was impressed they bake their own bread in an open oven, We had a variety of dishes including a cheese pide, some chicken sandwiches which arrived well done as requested, lentil soup, salads, hummus and feta cigars. Two of us who ordered the sandwiches were surprised by the weight of each sandwich and how tasty they were. Both of us continued eating despite the fact we were full midway through. Teh Fries which I had not ordered are spectacular ( i like salt). Our pide guest also ate through it all and despite complaining about the size managed to eat all of it along with some cigars and a rice pudding that looked like it could feed 3 persons. Our soup guru was also impressed with the taste of the soup. One of group is a little skeptical about foreign food in general..but he actually was the first to say he wanted to go back. The service is perfect for this type of restaurant, its humming and busy so do not expect someone to dote on you, there are no busboys roles so relax and have a pleasant tea. We did sit around a while not knowing we had to go to the cash register for our bill..but no biggie and again I have rarely been in restaurants where everyone was so nice, smiling...

Read moreThe first time I ate here, it took them 30 minutes to take my order, but they gave me extra food and a huge bowl of salad to apologize for the inconvenience. I ordered the mixed platter, and I must say, this is the best Turkish spot I have eaten at in Montreal. I used to adore Antep Kebap back in my college days, but this place is even better! The amount of food you get for the price, and taste— You’re getting quite the value and bang for your buck.
The 2nd time I had this was on UberEats, delivered to me. Again, the food was delicious. I also got a Kinnafeh for desert, it was awesome.
The mixed platter is one of the best value per dollar meals in the city… That is a LOT of good food for approximately $60… You get less food, and less tastier at that, at other places who will charge $180. I don’t care for the glitz and glamor at other places, I ONLY care for the food. I don’t care if a place looks cute or for the “experience,” I strictly only care for the...
