This was by far the worst experience I've ever had. I'm visiting from the United States, and my sister planned her birthday dinner at Jardin Azul. The restaurant changed our reservation three times to accommodate our party size. Our reservation was for 10 PM, and we arrived 20 minutes early and were seated promptly. Our server took our drink and food orders immediately. However, our appetizers arrived 30 minutes later, and we still hadn't received our drinks. After another 20 minutes without drinks, we asked the waiter, who informed us that they weren't making cocktails at that time. No one had informed us earlier about this. The restaurant had changed our reservation three times, claiming they wanted to provide impeccable service.
We spoke to the manager, who said they had run out of liquor for cocktails. Our party consisted of over ten people, and the food arrived cold and at different times. By then, my sister was very upset that her birthday dinner was ruined. She asked for silverware, which she didn’t receive until much later. When her food finally arrived, she was too upset to eat and wanted to take it home. However, the server told us they didn't have any to-go boxes.
In conclusion, our experience at Jardin Azul was overwhelmingly disappointing. Despite the restaurant's multiple changes to our reservation in an effort to provide impeccable service, they failed to deliver on even the most basic aspects of hospitality. The fact that we had to wait excessively for our appetizers and were never informed about the unavailability of cocktails set the tone for an unpleasant evening. The manager's explanation that they had run out of liquor for a party of our size was unacceptable, and the inconsistent and cold food only added to our dissatisfaction.
The poor communication and lack of preparedness were glaring. My sister's birthday dinner, which should have been a joyous and memorable occasion, was instead marred by these shortcomings. When she didn't even receive silverware until much later and was ultimately told there were no to-go boxes for her uneaten meal, it was clear that the restaurant was not equipped to handle our group or meet our expectations.
Jardin Azul needs to seriously reconsider its service protocols and ensure that staff are better trained to handle reservations, communicate effectively with guests, and maintain adequate supplies. Only by addressing these significant issues can they hope to provide a dining experience that meets the standard they initially promised. We left the restaurant feeling frustrated and disappointed, a sentiment no guest should have after what was supposed to be a special...
Read moreI recently celebrated my friend's milestone 35th birthday at what we believed to be an upscale, high-priced restaurant known for its "impeccable food and service." Unfortunately, our experience was anything but that, and it ultimately marred what was meant to be a joyous occasion.
When we first made our reservation, we were encouraged by the restaurant to adjust our time, assuring us it would lead to "better service." This promise alone should have set our expectations high, but instead, what we received was a rushed experience that left us feeling unvalued as customers.
Upon arriving, we noticed a significant disconnect between the cost of food/drinks—an exorbitant $25 for individual cocktails—and the quality of the service. To our dismay, as the night progressed, we were informed that drinks would no longer be served after a specific time. This was particularly disheartening since my friend had specifically chosen this establishment based on its reputation for offering a complete dining experience, which includes quality beverages to accompany an expensive meal.
Having to eat or food cold, while also being told that our time with drinks was cut short, felt incredibly disrespectful, especially on a day that was meant to celebrate an important milestone.
In an establishment that prides itself on both quality food and service, this experience was unacceptable. We left feeling disappointed and frustrated, knowing that our trust had been misplaced. We certainly will not be recommending this restaurant to friends or returning for any future celebrations.
If you are seeking a place that truly values its customers and delivers on its high-priced promise, I suggest looking elsewhere. This experience taught us that no amount of money is worth sacrificing the spirit of celebration and...

We sat at the bar because there were no spots on the couches, it was only 2 of us. Our bartender/server was awesome but we noted she was taking shots with other customers and I’m thinking that impaired her drink making. I got a mocktail, Balela Fizz, that tasted like citrus water, it wasn’t nice at all and my friend got a margarita, $25, which was delicious.
The food was interesting. The bang bang shrimp was nice, a bit tough. The crispy chicken had a very odd after taste, nothing special, beef skewers were good and lastly the Parmesan fries lacked salt and were mainly sprinkled with Parmesan and parsley.
The place started to turn into a club around 11pm so we wanted to head out cause we were only there for dinner. Our server was avoiding us so we flagged another bartender down. He gave us the bill we paid and left a tip that was less than 18% and he let us know this was not good because now he has to pay for us not leaving enough. In his words “it cost me to serve you today, just so you know”. I found that rude because why is there an option to either give one of the percentages, give what you want or not leave a tip? Tipping is a choice and not mandatory, it was so uncalled for and just left a bad taste in the mouth. We quickly left after he gave...
