This was a true favorite, but today, what a wash!!!!!! I had people over working at my place. Ordered a large poutine and sub for the team and it arrived TWO HOURS LATER!
I ordered at 1:45 PM, called to check in at 3:00 PM and was instructed to wait "5 minutes". When I called at 3:30 PM to get a discount as my team had to leave and they did not pitch in, they slammed the phone in my face. The driver arrived at 3:45. I insisted I get a discount - they offered $5 or 10% and I VERY SADLY sent the food back and tipped the driver $5.
The food was hot and I feel they lied to me about having FORGOTTEN MY ORDER - but instead of mentioning that at 3:00 PM , they seemingly started and sent the order.
Bad MTLHD. BAD!!!!!! Please apologize and offer a me a cash coupon so i don't have to blacklist you and I can append this review with how I normally feel about your ... service. PS: Not to drag it out, but NOT THE FIRST TIME. I have other stories, but they were more open to my position.
ADDENDUM: Forgot to mention, when I asked the driver, he told me they were short handed and were short handed all day. Again, a simple "your order my be delayed by ... due to ..." would have helped me and my company make an informed decision. Your driver knew it was "slow" -...
Read moreAnother one of these places that have the 2 for 1 sale and you think "what a great deal!!" until you receive it and you realize that it's pretty much 2 for the price of 2. The burger for example was $12.50. There was no way this burger could cost $12.50! To make matters matters even worse, it is fair for the customer to expect what he sees in the picture, But it isn't the case here probably because they use stock photos or wrong photos. Differently from the photo, there were no tomatoes or bacon on the burger, nor did it came with fries. Just as a comparison, I went into a diner a few months ago and had a real nice, tasty and large burger with a large portion of fries for $14. The idea that this burger by itself cost $12.50 is ludicrous. It's real price is clearly around the $6 range. The same goes for the hot dog. By the way, they both were very bland.
So yeah, for tricking the customer 2 times (first for your 2 for the price of 2 "offer" and second for using stock photos that don't reflect what you deliver) you fall on the rare category where I have to go...
Read moreI had the traditional poutine, and it was probably the best out of 9-10 I had in Quebec. The gravy is what sets it apart. It is thicker and darker than any other I had, more like a beef gravy than the paler, thinner, and slightly acidic sauces that all others seemed to have. The fries and curds were comparable to those of most other places. I also had the poutine a la Mont Royal (onion, pepper, mushroom, pepperoni, and sausage), which was good. The soft drinks are sold by the can (for some reason, fountain drinks are hard to find in Montreal outside of fast-food chains.)
The restaurant has a fairly large dining area and a very big menu. If you dine in, it is full-service. I went back a second time, and although it was only 12:06 and Google said it was open until 1:00 am, we were told we could not dine in (I don't know if take-out was still being served.) Quite frustrating, after making quite an effort...
