I’m not even a bagel person, but I came here because of its reputation. Walked 20 minutes in the cold wearing just a T-shirt (with some stops along the way, of course).
We had one Americano, one juice, and two bagels—each sliced in half to share.
The chicken and cheese bagel was rich and flavorful thanks to the salty cheese. The chicken had a slight sweetness to it. Once the bagel was heated, the sesame aroma really came through. One bite, and you’d feel it was worth traveling thousands of miles.
The other half was smoked salmon and avocado. Since the salmon was lightly seasoned, it couldn’t be heated, so the bagel itself was a bit hard—but with each chewy bite, the salmon and avocado danced through, like fish swimming freely. The sesame seeds added an extra layer of texture—cold but stunningly flavorful.
The mixed juice (raspberry and mango) wasn’t too sweet—very drinkable. At $7, it’s even cheaper than the $7.20 “Three Brothers” drink at CoCo nearby. Who’s still buying CoCo?
The Americano? Honestly, I had low expectations. I mean, what would you expect from a bagel shop? But it was surprisingly good—rich in oils, medium-light roast, with clear tea notes and a touch of fruity acidity. Truly excellent.
Also, while lingering at the entrance watching people chat outside the shop, I jumped in to ask which flavor was the best. A white gentleman complimented me: “Where did you get your Hermès scarf?” —“In...
Read moreI have passed by this Fabrique de Bagel inside le “Centre du Commerce Mondial”, numerous times, an area that was created simply to be discovered. It is unique in its own way and if you are looking for taking breathtaking pictures inside a building, then look no further.
Let’s get back to bagels. There are bagels and then bagels. It was early morning on Saturday and the mere thought of sweet smell of freshly made bagel woke me up from my deep sleep.
I went straight to the Fabrique de Bagel and the aroma of warm bread filling the air wrapped around me so softly, insisting that this must become a morning ritual. So many cream cheese variations - simply an “embarras du choix” that it took me over a minute to decide. I finally opted for the smoked salmon cream cheese on a sesame bagel.
Service was very pleasant, fast and friendly. The bagel went through a revolving oven and eventually gets loaded with cream cheese. I think it was more like I ate cream cheese with bagel. The cream cheese was smooth, rich with the right hint of smoked salmon which melted perfectly in my warm bagel.
There are a few tables and chairs that are close by that I can sit and have a bite to satisfy my craving. You will not look at bagels the same way, ever again.
What I like about this place is the buzz, the cleanliness and the...
Read moreMy boyfriend went to grab us some bagels for lunch. The girl who took his order got it wrong - and my boyfriend was charged and paid for an extra bagel when he was not supposed to. He told them that he was wrongfully charged an extra bagel, showing the receipt (we ordered 3 bagels - he got charged for 4). 2/3 of the staff (including the girl who took his order), they tried to tell him he was wrong despite him showing his itemized receipt that DISPLAYED THE MISTAKE and treated him as if he did not know what he was talking about. Same two girls didn’t apologize, gave him a refund in cash, and then the one that took his order gave him glaring dirty looks. As someone who works in restaurant service, who let these girls work here? If you did something WRONG, apologize to the customer and correct your mistake. Don’t just stand there and proceed to have an attitude when the customer did nothing wrong, even if you’re not in the best mood. Thank you to the ONE staff who was kind enough to stick up for him and gave him...
