Nadia and I were mid-mission when we found ourselves in Montreal, waiting for critical information from the asset. The Canadian winter, though milder than Mother Russia’s, still had a sharp bite, so we sought refuge in a quaint local café.
Inside, we were greeted by a spirited chef named Sara—or perhaps it was Sarah, or even Sarra—who enthusiastically introduced us to a dish called "potato pancakes." Nadia and I exchanged puzzled glances. Potatoes, our national staple, featured prominently in the many beige dishes of our childhoods, yet never had they been presented to us as pancakes. Intrigued, we ordered our first-ever plate.
With just a couple of bites, we were struck by a profound realization: our lives as agents, defined by high-stakes missions and endless sacrifices, had deprived us of simple joys like this. These unassuming pancakes, golden and crisp, were a revelation. By the time the plate was empty and our stomachs content, we had made a life-altering decision.
We resolved to leave the mission behind and return to civilian life. Yes, the potato pancakes were that good.

Read moreI was quite disappointed at the meal I got when I came here I didn’t end up finishing it things didn’t go well with each other. One the vegetables in the sandwich had a hard part in it, the coleslaw tasted a bit bland and I’m generally just not a fan of potatoes others may say it’s fine but I’m potatoes hardest critic. My other guest did enjoy their meal however. Perhaps it was just that sandwich that was not good I have tried other things there and they were amazing. So I’m updating my review to 4 stars instead of two. I continue to go here for there things but I still do hesitate to try the menu. Their drinks are spot on though after all a shop with the word Cafe in the name would be shunned if their drinks weren’t up to par! You won’t be disappointed here though! Every drink tastes great but I could say that some members would need to work on their foaming. Keep up...
Read moreCame here to work during the day, some outlets along the walls, it wasn't too busy on a weekday afternoon.
Got some food and a golden latte, the food wasn't all that special and it wasn't "cheap" either. I would've been fine for the price if I enjoyed it more.
The breakfast omelette: the omelette was tasty, didn't look great but tasted good, the coleslaw was really underwhelming (dry, not all that tasty) and so was the 2 pieces of bread it came with and the bread didn't come with anything so I didn't eat the second piece. I didn't find it well balanced, there were more "filler items" than good food IMO.
The golden latte was good.
In response to the business reply: 3 star is OK. Not bad. My only "intention" was to leave a fair honest review of my personal experience and regarding the food, other reviewers have also mentioned...
