Atmosphere: ⚠️⚠️⚠️Go there ONLY IF you love VERY VERY loud music (at least Saturday nights). I had a sore throat at the end of the night from screaming to be heard. My ears are STILL buzzing. If you want to pass your evening talking and listening to someone while enjoying a meal... stay away from this place! I wish I had known this in advance. If you are into a weird vibe of disco-like loud iranian music while eating, then this is the place for you. In fairness, Saturdays they have special events. There was supposed to be a dance show, it was very very brief! Followed by a DJ who had less talent than that of a 14 year old with an iphone 3G.
Service: We were first apparently given the food of another table (which was same as ours), they came and removed the food after 3-4 minutes! Rude! Took a long time to get our food! We were given a piece of tahchin to compensate for that. I just rather not have my food yanked away from me! Water jars were too small and not filled frequently. No one asked us if everything was fine or if we needed anything! The staff was so disorganized and unprofessional. Be prepared to waive your arm off to get some attention.
Food: tastes good, not superb but very pricey compared to other Persian restaurants. The portion is also smaller comparatively! (Example: Koobideh is 29 dollars, some rice and 2 skewers of kebab, elsewhere it's ~19, all that in much bigger portions plus soup!)
Overall: my ears, throat, and wallet have a very long healing journey ahead. Never again!
Edit: I have clearly detailed the problems we faced and given your recognition in your response, you can rest assured that this is NOT a spam review. My name is irrelevant to critiquing our experience. I recommend you focus on improving your...

I had a lot of my Iranian colleagues tell me that this place is a must visit and with all due respect, I was disappointed in pretty much every aspect of the experience.
I went here with an old buddy of mine who used to live in Montréal but has since moved on to Toronto and was visiting that week.
Having said that, I assure you there are other places one could go to for a fuller culinary experience.
Food — Their “Koobideh” كوبيدة was subpar in what I would compare it with as per other restos I’ve visited in Canada. It was not juicy enough and not soft enough. One skewer was over done, unfortunately. The rice was about the only thing that really hit the spot. It was pre-buttered and tasty. The Mirza Ghasemi was…. Tasteless to say the least. I didn’t really taste anything. They were generous with the pita serving however.
Ambience and attentiveness — The gentleman and staff was nice but they never came back to ask us how the food was or if we wanted anything else. Perhaps it was the wrong date to visit them and there were families and folks celebrating the day and music was awfully loud.
Price point —- I felt that the food was/is overpriced for what you get. 27CAD for a Koobideh plate is 10-12CAD more than other restos in the Montréal area. I would say something similar for the GTA. I understand that it’s down town but it’s really only Pt St Charles!
Conclusion — I would probably not return mostly due to the high price point for what you...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Persian-style and cuisine restaurant, and I have to say it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere, which perfectly complemented the delicious food and drinks on offer.
Speaking of drinks, I highly recommend trying the saffron cocktail. It was an absolute delight, with just the right balance of sweetness and sourness, and a subtle hint of saffron that added a unique and delicious flavor. It paired perfectly with the food, and was a great way to start the evening.
As for the food, it was truly exceptional. I opted for a classic Persian dish, and it was cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and complex, and every bite was a delight. The portion sizes were also generous, so I left feeling thoroughly satisfied.
The service was also top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and happy to answer any questions I had about the menu. And despite being busy, they managed to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently.
All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious Persian-style and cuisine dining experience. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service are all excellent, and I can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes and cocktails...
