Start with the good, amazing vibes! The decor and music are all on point. The drinks were very tasty, the cups are unique and the place just screams for you to post it on ig. But after our first drinks were done, we waited roughly 10-15 mins before they go picked up ( we pushed them to the end so it was clear we were done) and another 20 mins before some came to ask if we were "good"... being 30 mins waiting we no longer wanted another drink even though we already had our second and third order planned so we asked for the bill. Which came right away! We felt let down and a bit disappointed so we left no tip. The waitress after realizing we did not leave her a tip came back immediately and asked if there was something wrong with her service why we left no tip. I proceeded to let her know it was the amount of time between drinks ... she did not like (it was clear to me at that point she did not care anabout improving her service she just wanted to make a scene)that answer and proceeded to blame the bartender and asked if she should be punished for him taking a long time. At this point people are staring obviously and the whole situation is getting awkward and frustrating. Soo after a such a good start (cool door guy) and drinks we left quite insulted and with a bad taste in our mouth. We were going to return the next day to try more drinks and pizza but we won't be going back again sadly. What I thought was going to be my favorite cocktail bar in montreal after trying a few it was my least. Nhau bar was making music and food, 4e mur great drinks and service...

A really great bar with tasty food and drinks, but…. the attitude towards customers from their security is terrible. we were in Barv with my girlfriend, so after ordering cocktails (not cheap) we decided to take a photo, as everyone does it to keep memories from the bar. Towards the end, while we were still there, talking, the security guard started walking by us and asked if we had paid the bill yet. we answered that not yet, but later we are going to pay to leave there. After we paid the bill, the story began: the security guard began to rush us with the words "I have so many people, get out of here" (honestly, I did not even understand what happened and why the attitude changed so dramatically!), we began to collect stuff and go out. He did not follow us. when we were about to leave, we decided to take a few photos in the hall as a memory (the hall is really beautiful and is located at the exit from the bar, so there are absolutely no people there). But judging by the way the guard behaved, it was very provocative??? Taking photos where there are not even people??? He approached us and began to say in a rude tone "Enough for you today - get out!" and Pobs before that spread his arms to the sides and came at us (as if pushing out - but without physical contact!).

Unfortunately, me and my friends will not come to this place again, because "paying the bill and then kicking out, which will start more people who will just as quickly pay and leave" is more important than the customers themselves in this...

It was busy, but we stood outside for an hour and a half to get in. The bouncer was friendly but wasn't willing to give us even an estimated time. When we finally got in, we were cramped at a small table. We ordered two pizzas that were good, but nothing exceptional at $18.00 and $25.00 each. The drinks were neat, as each one is served in its own unique glass, but the selection we found was limited for what was described as one of the best in all of Montreal. We finished with the Tiramisu dessert, which was by far the highlight of the night. Worth the $9.00 for a bowl of it. The service wasn't great. Our server paid little attention to us in the 2 hours we were inside. We had a table beside us with the same customers all night on one side and 3 others that rotated through on the other side of us and all recieved more attentive service than we did. The first couple took shooters with a staff member before they left and the last duo brought pizza they had purchased outside while waiting in line and the waiter was accomodating in bringing them plates and a stand for them to use. This was by far our most expensive meal while we were in Montreal, and we left not full, dissapointed with our drinks and frustrated with the service. Even if we could get in without waiting in line at all, I wouldn't stop again. Save yourself some money and...

Edit - came back (live at 9:55pm) and the atmosphere is way nicer. For people who want to enjoy the real Experience, I would recommend you showing up between 9pm to 11pm. The drinks taste better too, maybe it just depends on what bartenders you got. _Later than 11pm, they turned into a club kind of vibe but with no much space to dance, you can read my thoughts for it below__ Pros : great service from the staff! Both girls serving us were very professionals and even though they had really tough clients, they were still very polite and in control. The 2 stars are for the service. The rest just went downhill. Cons : everything else. When I go to a new bar/club/lounge, I ask myself one simple question : What is the purpose of the place? Because this one doesn't seem to have one except for creating a neon like atmosphere. Is it for dancing? The music is super good (props to the DJ!) but no place to dance. Is it made for small talks and flirty moments? Well no.. The music is way too loud to hear anything that the other person says. We were 4 and I end up screaming my lungs out all along. Adding to that it's A SUPER SMALL space not much space to sit or even enjoy yourself. You're pratically sharing a bench with other groups of strangers. None of the drinks were good. One has so much ice in it that I don't even feel the alcohol.

Third time's a charm! Finally got in this weekend. Now that the weather is warmer and it's not as new it's a bit easier to get it. If you want good seats though I was told around 8pm is good. They have a waiting system you put your name down so you don't have to just stand there and wait. It's really cute inside, not what you'd expect. On the second floor. Lots of plants and vibrant, hipster chic is the best way I can describe it but the photos will help you. The drinks are really cute and tasty (complex mixes). Prices are normal for this type of place, the 12-15$ range for a cocktail. You get tons of specific drinkware I've never seen anywhere before. Cups shaped as a bird, or an egg, originality and presentation is top! There is also a 4 person drink bucket for 60$ which is worth it cuz its quite big. I didn't order it but I tried it from the group next to me. You can also order food, table next to us got pizza surprisingly we didn't smell it so it wasn't distracting. There is a DJ and music spinning some classics (TLC, destiny child, some newer stuff) , it was a little loud to talk though that's one negative. It's somewhat small as all these cocktail bars/speakeasy are about 100 people, some will have to stand. We got seats. Older crowd, 25+ generally. Staff was really chill and good service.

Milky Way Cocktail Bar was phenomenal!!! It was a little hard to find on the street, but luckily the employees at the Pizza Place next door were more than willing to direct us. The atmosphere is great. The music is not too loud and I did not feel squished into my seat by other patrons. Service was phenomenal. I didn't catch the servers name but he was friendly and kind. Two other patrons in the bar even switched their seats to accommodate for my larger party. I had three drinks there: The Marcus Hibiscus, the Disco Pisco, and the Yec'hed Mat. My favorite of those was the Disco Pisco, but another in my party had the Island in the Sun, which we unanimously agreed was the best on the menu. I would say the cocktails listed on the menu could fit the needs of almost anyone's palate, and only a few drinks overlapped greatly in flavor. Some of the drinks I found to be a bit too eccentric for my taste (particularly the A La Luz), but I was clearly able to find several I liked, and there were also several crowd pleasers. Food was offered from the Pizza Place below, which was convenient, affordable, and tasty. Overall, a fantastic bar with interesting flavors and combinations. The staff obviously love their jobs, as that shows through both the service and the booze.
