Decent restaurant, terrible service. We had a reservation for 2 at the bar. The host was very gracious (we were early and was hoping we can come in early and start with drinks) and he was more than willing to accommodate us. The person behind the bar who poured our champagne was very friendly and likeable. Its too bad these two gentlemen were not our server. Our server was rude and condescending. Its been a week of eating at most of the Montreal spots (we were at Au Pied de Cochon the night before) and we were not sure how hungry were. Our plan was to order some antipasti and primi and go from there. Our server was put off by our decision, rudely informed us that the kitchen needs all out orders right away. I used to be a director of a 5 diamond hotel (with a five diamond restaurant) and I have never told any of my servers to behave or serve this way. We informed our server that we will stick with our original order (share an antipasti and a secondi) and our server rudely informed us that it wasn't enough! We were taken aback by his rudeness so we asked him to give us a few more minutes. He acted so insulted that we actually considered ordering an antipasti, primi and secondi each! I was also so angry that we considered just paying for our champagne and going down the street to eat somewhere else. We stuck with our original order, ordered a bottle of...

Phenomenal service, best in Montreal! If you are lucky enough to be seated in Stefan’s section, you will be in for a treat! Immediately you feel as though you arrived at a good friend’s house. The ambiance is warm, with a simple sophistication, which is extremely comfortable and very inviting. Stefan was lovely, offered excellent recommendations, impeccable service. Hugo offered eloquent descriptions as dishes were presented. Exquisitely prepared, every bite mouthwatering. We had the scallop appetizer and veal appetizer to begin, both were delectable. An asparagus dish, halibut entree and pistachio pesto spaghetti entree, all outstanding. An exceptional evening! Safe environment, sanitizer and sink in foyer, tables spaced, staff all wore masks, guests did as well when they were not seated. Street parking possible, several parking lots available, lovely to walk around after...

Italian food with a twist.

Let me start with the good stuff. The restaurant has a very cool vibe and it’s very trendy. Our wait time for food was also reasonable and overall the food itself was tasty and freshly made.

The service was not on par with the rest of the experience. One of the waitresses told my brother - who was visiting from Europe - that Graziella doesn’t carry garbage ice cream such as soft serve... there are better ways to engage with your customers. Another waiter gave us attitude throughout dinner. My mom asked for spaghetti with tomato sauce and the server said that spaghetti were designated to another type of dish. We eventually convinced him.

The restaurant had also ran out of some staple foods: no more breadsticks, mozzarella, gianduja gelato.

Overall the quality of the food was good so, if that’s all you are looking...

I don’t understand how this restaurant can be considered one of the best in Montréal. I ordered a $126 bottle of Cabernet, recommended by the waiter. It was mediocre at best. I had already returned a first recommendation so I let it go. For dinner, I ordered sweetbreads, which I usually love. They were thickly breaded, which made them dry with very little sauce which didn’t ameliorate the dish. My husband ordered the veal loin. It was adequately cooked but the accompanying sauce was boring to the point of being unpleasant. The restaurant is beautifully set and the service was good. I only wish the food would have been more than barely eatable. I will never return and I recommend that you stay away.

The space at Graziella feels calm and polished, perfect for a leisurely lunch or a quiet catch-up. The food itself was decent. Flavours were there, presentation was nice, nothing groundbreaking but solid. Here's where it fell apart: the service was painfully slow. What’s frustrating is that it wasn’t even that busy. Aside from a company group, the restaurant was fairly quiet. There were more than enough staff on floor and in the kitchen to handle the flow, but dishes and drinks still took forever to come out. It’s a shame, because the ambiance and food had potential for a lovely lunch. But when the pace drags like that, it takes away from the whole experience.

Easy to book a table. No wonder. No stars at all. This is the only resto in Montreal charging your bread and water, Plus BY PERSON. UNBELIEVABLE. The recall of olive oil was very slow, waiters doing cocktails and cutting lemons. They shake the olive oil bottle hard to make sure each drop was charged. The scallop in two ways is bot recommended. Just grill it cuz the sashimi should be taken in a Japanese restaurant. When you ask lemon for the fish, they slice it as it goes to the cocktails. You can manage the cost, but not this way. I will never come back. Seriously comment from experienced weekly resto-goer
